Save Seaburn

Are you being purposely dull for comic effect ? I corrected the poster who used the incorrect 'lolz', the correct spelling is 'lulz' - I didn't 'jump into a convo'

I've frequented the Rosedene for over 40 years, its at or near its lowest ebb right now, bloody awful - you of course may prefer the smell of gravy and stale food with your drinks, dull poseurs propping up the bar and no end of scruffs and riff raff, I however do not

I’m certainly not a dullard, I would say a dullard is a type of person who corrects peoples spelling and grammar on a forum.
Your right about the rosedene it’s not the same since John and Anita left but for someone to have such a view on an establishment but frequently visited for 40 year doesn’t make sense something must draw you there.
To be honest the sr6/ashbrooke is mostly tongue in cheek. Ya scratter

I think they already have permits on streets down there like queens avenue ? The analysis of the council car park neighbouring Morrison’s (is it free ? Never parked there) was done on Easter and August bank holiday weekends and at no point was it full. I’m absolutely certain if I went down there now I could get parked in it - I actually need some laundry tablets so may go on a little checking mission and report back.
In fairness NB I was there yesterday and can confirm it was indeed full to the brim. Eventually got parked in Morrison's car park (followed the rules and bought stuff in there as well) but it took 40 minutes to get back out later on.

So yeah traffic management is a big problem if those car parks are full but if we are seriously talking about substantially increasing footfall to those areas then we need more parking.

Good job they're building two car parks then

Bit like BREXIT, really.
"We need to do more business overseas."
"Yeah, let's leave the EU"

Coincidentally, I bet the vast majority of Seafields & South Bents voted out.
Apart from the Belgian guy who started Save Seaburn, who closed the group in protest when we voted leave

Where are the new car parks going to be?

Don't live in the area anymore but eager to see how they develop it.
One off Dykelands Road and the other at the North end of the site behind the new hotel

They will both be pay parking which no doubt someone will moan about how the area should be free for all

Nice walk around backhouse this morning with the grandson, Not many cars about no dogshit anywhere. All the trees intact playpark was lovely.
Pleasant and enjoyable
Well done the respectful dog owners of Ashbrooke.

Are you joking me? Last time I was in backhouse - about a year ago mind. It was filthy with shite everywhere. The kids playpark at the Hendon end was minging with some of the stuff broken and covered in grime. The grass was overgrown all over the park. It used to be a well kept park but the council don't seem to spend any money on that one now.

Roker park is a jewel really.

Run up to the election though.

I like roker park to be fair, not sure on the green slime in the pond (if it’s still there like been a while since I was in). And obviously since they got rid of the sex offender who drove the train.
Oh and the toilets (forgot about them). Are they still used for the owld you know whatties?
