Cinema on your own

Never been to the cinema on my own but I’ve gone for a quiet pint at my local on my own before.

Been sent on an errand for nappies, or baby wipes etc. Pop into the pub next door, have a quiet pint and enjoy the calmness for 20 minutes....

Baby number two imminent and I’ll be reliving this practise to the full!

Am quite literally at the cinema on my own atm. Only person at the screening!

It’s kinda weird

Years back, when I went to see Braindead, my two mates and me were the only people in the cinema. We were wondering whether the film would still be shown if nobody was in there.

Is it weird?

Nope.
I went to see The Last Jedi in New York on my own. That was great.

Last week I saw Black Panther and Avengers Infinity War on my own (albeit in a packed screen!) and that was also good.

I would actually recommend it. I'm going to do it in future if mates can't make it to a film or Mrs K doesn't want to watch it.

I quite like going on my own... sometimes I choose a time when I know there aren't many people expected to be in. Like this coming Friday, I have taken the day off to go see the new Avengers film on a morning showing, around 1030am - nothing better than having the whole place to yourself.

I must admit I think it can potentially depend on the film you go to see.

When we were at school, or technically off school, me and a mate went to see Cruel Intentions (as y'do) in Durham (when it had a cinema).
I think it's because it was a 15 (and we weren't) and there wasn't anything else on. That's my excuse anyway.

Anywho, we were sat in there with a couple of other people and some random bloke on his own - he made a few odd noises throughout so maybe he went on his own for another reason.

You just wanted a cinema to yourself for the numerous "down top shots" of Scarlet Witch

Just a quick update: It seems they do sometimes ask to see your Cineworld unlimited card if you’ve booked online.
Got busted last week, but skilfully lied my way round it. Ah well, we’ve had a canny run of free tickets up until now.

Nothing wrong with two lads gobbling sausage together mate. Not in a gay way or anything, I didn’t gobble his nor did he gobble mine, I believe we placed respective orders and gobbled our own sausages.

Ahhhhhh, hot diggity dogs - Hot Dogs or Wieners........? with all the condiments.
