Not reallyDidn't he make a right mess of Hull?
The article says they're confident that their offer is better than the local group who has been talking for a few weeks. The problem is that some people will think whoever takes over will come in and start chucking money around like a lads weekend in Vegas. It's going to take time change things but, a winning start next season would be a great first step.I was thinking that like. He's had a few roles by the looks of things but at least he has football experience, as always a lot would depend on who his backers are; both in terms of what kind of funds they might have (not expecting anything huge but a small investment should see us promoted, have to hope they have that and money to cover losses if required) and also how many/ what kind of people they are. I'm not sure of why there would be immediate criticism when his name is linked though, unless I'm missing something obvious

How did you guess![]()
Didn't he make a right mess of Hull?
He left in the Summer of 2012. They were promoted in 12/13. Hull finished 11th and 8th in the Championship while he was in charge there. Bad journalism."In his time at the Tigers he took them to the top flight in a sensational run."
Apparently not.
And to do that he would have to make us attractive, which we're not at the minute. If it is just him he will try and get us back and then spin us on. He obviously smells a good profit.

He had something to do with the company that operates the stadium. Not a fan of FC aka Gateshead but can't argue they are a well ran club. 2 challenge cups on the bounce. He's done a great job at Hull FC. Built them really well. Pretty sure the KC was mostly funded by him.
Wouldn't be against it at all
Yeah, I read that too, it was 2012 when he left the club completely.I was just reading the Hull Wiki page a few minutes ago and it seems he was some sort of official advisor for a while after he stopped being the owner. I don't know to what capacity though. Maybe that's what they meant?
He obviously has contacts...how deep are their pockets is the question?!!I was just reading the Hull Wiki page a few minutes ago and it seems he was some sort of official advisor for a while after he stopped being the owner. I don't know to what capacity though. Maybe that's what they meant?
And he has a history of doing it, so he obviously knows it can be doneAnd to do that he would have to make us attractive, which we're not at the minute.
Aye didnt we play down there to open their stadium? Well done batman.Would he have been in charge when we were the opposition when Hull opened the KC? I’m sure there was some sort of tie in with us at the time as they were in the 2nd division when we were in the premier.
