Aiming to get to Barnard Castle about 2ish but it’s a very loose schedule. I’ve got all day to play with.

Lucky you, enjoy.
I have no idea what tomorrow will bring yet.

Metric and imperial confuse me man
/QUOTE]
I'm of an age that my education spanned the period where stuff started to change from imperial to metric. I remember in primary school learning about stuff like chains, furlongs, etc! When I was an apprentice fitter some drawings were in one systems & some in another, and the workshops were full of two sets of tools & gauges so we could work in either. So I've always been kind of ambidextrous in that regard and regularly mix stuff up. Maybe this is why I'm such a confused old git. Last week I was in a pub with a Finnish colleague and he couldn't get his head round the way I refer to distances in both miles & Km interchangeably in conversation, and the way I might use metric terminology when talking about engineering dimensions but always use ft & in when talking about someone's height.

Currently my bike computer is set to Km but it's not always like that, and I'm constantly doing conversions in me heed as I'm riding along.

Sportive in Darlington next month sponsored by Wiggle- anyone doing it?

Not for you? I don't mind them, decent day's riding; feed stations and I got a brand new ultegra chain from the Shimano mechanic last time I did the cyclone.

Trying to swerve wife’s attempts to get me to do another..will no doubt have to do one at some point

Not knocking them as such...I’m just more of a solo ( anti social ) rider who bristles at the likes of Cycling Weekly obsession with them the last few years and the people who treat them as races.

Got their place but if people want to race do a TT, Crit or RR .
