Probs seemed daft at the time to most people but you were absolutely right hank.

Our next appointment if Coleman leaves is going to have to be an unfashionable choice, people need to accept that. We're headed to League One ffs.
Some supporters aren't bothered how bad the manager is, as long as he's a biggish name and not an unknown/unfashionable , hence all the "who else would we get" comments.

Ole Hank is always right man
All people had to dee was look at Warnock record

Season before he saved Rotherham at a canter

After he left they plummeted look at Cardiff etc etc

I rest my case mlaud
A lot of our supporters are snobs when it comes to the manager. There was plenty didn't want Allardyce as he wasn't deemed good enough.

Who else would we get ?
There isn't a single other manager available, is there?

Ho man, Steve McLaren. Yerv been sussed. Now fook off yer not gerrin the job ya baldy cùnt.

He was right to let NDong go.
As for players choosing other clubs, as we had zero to spend, perhaps they were offered better packages?
Watmore.
Was he? His move isn't going to happen.

Better packages? They're loan players, they'll be on the same contract.

As for Watmore, I have my opinions on him anarl, and exactly how much of a miss he's been is very debatable.

Spot on mate
Though I would add that Watmore would have massively improved us.
He'll have been an option at least. Next season though he'll be plying his trade at a level where I expected him to end up. Sadly it'll still be with us.

I was under the impression that Barnsley offered the player they got that we were after (his name escapes me) more money, but of course he will still get paid the same.

So much for Coleman being a big draw for players.

Think it's been mentioned before so you probably already know but since it's a public vote if you click on the bit where it says how many votes each option has (so for stay, click on the bit that says 346 votes at the minute), you can see which posters voted for that option. I know that's something you were interested in on your post
I deliberately left it that way.

Thanks, didn't realise that.

I’ve voted stay but not because of the lame ‘who else would we get?’ argument. It’s not our call. If we get new owners they’ll decide, not us. Perhaps they will keep CC, perhaps they will not but it’s a spurious argument to say ‘who else’? I think Ellis Short will keep faith in CC. He needs to show what he can do over a full season.

Stay, god only knows who would replace him if he goes

Whom would you like that is available and wouldn't cost short compo ?

Why do they have to be out of work?

If we needed an out of work manager I wouldn't be opposed to giving it to McCarthy.
Usually if they're not out of work then we'd have to pay the other club compensation. I've more chance of biting me own arse than I have of him parting with any money.

When poached Grayson from Preston in the summer and I bet coleman didn't come cheap.

He had fuck all to spend at Rotherham and saved them they got relegated when he left
Warnock is amazing at this level, I’m not arguing about that.
I’m now just being argumentative here, but did the Rotherham team have the players that can fit into his style of play.
That was always my worry with Pulis when he was mentioned for here. We don’t have the team so we’d need to buy a complete new one. Warnock is another who likes athletes rather than footballers and we just don’t have them in our squad.
I’ve said for years that we needed a load of big lads that can run all day and who might not be technically brilliant.
That’s why I liked ndong, the first midfielder for years who could actually run and move into space. His passing was shite but so is everyone else’s.

You are just being argumentative - either that or just daft.

Rotherham looked doomed when he arrived and he saved them, he left and they went down with 24 points. But all that was because they already had his type of players

Its a radical thought, but maybe it is because he knows how to get the best of what he's got to work with? Yes, certain managers favour certain types of players, but it is just a lame excuse to absolve a manager of blame for performances because they haven't got "their own players". I have no doubt we wouldn't be going down if Warnock was our manager.
