To be fair to them, they would have had very little frame of reference as to whether a British name is still in popular use. That’s why you would get a lot of youngish people from there called Mildred, Fanny and Godfrey
Had a colleague in Guangzho called Cecil .... lovely lass by all accounts . Oh and a chap in HK called Bunny

HK colleague back in the day was called Fanny Hung
I detest that name. Sorry if anyone on here has named a kid that. No offence. It just sums up everything that's wrong with copying daft American names to me.Friend of a friend kids' names include Jayden, Rain, Autumn and Phoenix.
Can't remember what the other 2 are called. Yes they have 6.
Should fix the TV

It's because it seems to be the regular one that gets screeched when I'm at the shops, doctors, or bus stops. Apart from the time I heard someone shout Ron, I was expecting a grandfather, but it was her toddler.I love that you picked that out of the car crash list

I wonder if that explains it. She had rainbow hair and matching clothes, so would have thought/assumed she'd go down another route. I'll never know. Good old Ron, I say.Someone's Potter fan.
Not here it ain't. It was Ocean.
I see.
Some shockers there mind. What is it with DeBryan or whatnot. Putting De in front of their name.
DeMarcus and so on.
What's all that about?
Also the -A (Dashay) is absolutely awful
Its a black thing they put DE infront of boys names and LA infront of girls ones...

It’s one of my favourite beers. Brewed in Scotland not Wales though!I met an ocean at the weekend but he was Welsh and it was Osian
It’s a fairly popular name here in Australia, along with Beau.I detest that name. Sorry if anyone on here has named a kid that. No offence. It just sums up everything that's wrong with copying daft American names to me.
I think it's fairly popular here too, the amount of times I hear it. Or is it just in Newcastle West? I nearly called a cat Beau a few years back. It’s a fairly popular name here in Australia, along with Beau.
