I didn't mind the first one actually. Then it got a bit silly. I'm reading essential as films which not only capture the era, were groundbreaking, and which you'd recommend.
You don't like the Matrix? Reloaded and Revolu ...the third one I could understand.
What does essential films even mean anyway?
I absolutely hate Titanic, Dances and Forrest G. American Beauty I rewatched before the Kevin Spacey thing and was surprised at how underwhelmed I was. I think a lot of the scenes in it have become overused tropes in the meantime. Bit like Wonderwall.
