Got other supermarkets closer to home. It's not really worth a 15+ min drive just to hear a tannoy message.
Its like supermarket wars eh? Have you seen the new Wonder Woman Movie?

Within 5-10 minutes drive from home, I can choose from two Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsburys, Asda, M&S Food, Iceland, Aldi or the Co-op!

No, not seen Wonder Woman. I'm not really fussed about superhero movies. I'm going to watch Atomic Blonde with my eldest while he's home. That one looks good.

@becs, it's a great film and the soundtrack is 80's-tastic.

However, if you think it might be a little uncomfortable watching (with your son) 2 naked lasses writhe around on a bed in an extended love scene ... watch it through first to check it out.

Whilst not as dramatic as some of the stories on here so far but on Christmas Eve I was driving into a place called Ingleby Barwick from stockton, it’s a dual carriageway but as you enter Ingleby it merges into single traffic. I’m not in a rush but it’s very busy, I’m in the left lane but even at the last second, cars are on the right , almost forcing their way in. I’m not in a rush and it’s xmas so I allow (not sure if allow is the right word as they have a legal right to merge)3 cars to merge but the bloke behind me in a tt is going f***ing spare, beeps his horn and is inches from my bonnet. Arms going in the air, window down shouting. Now it was childish of me but I stopped and allowed another 3 to merge. As he indicates to go round me I then decide to move off. He was going crackers all the way to Tesco so I blew him a kiss as our paths went different ways.

He was prolly going to get rang off their lass for being late when he got home . Seems to be some prize whingers down Teeside .

In our nearest village there's always a bit bad parking going on . I've
got all day to waste so I nearly always give way to oncoming traffic . I haven't worked this out scientifically but I guess about 90% of blerks acknowledge what I've done and about 90% of women don't . Divent care like .

I've noticed this as well. It's as if women drivers assume it is their right for men to give way to them. Sexism in its purest form. Either that, or they're so bloody terrified driving the car that they daren't take their hands off the wheel to wave a thankyou to you. Different matter of course, if they have a text to send or Twitter/Facebook to update. Or some lippy to freshen up.

I think most people would be annoyed if you allowed 6 cars to merge in to be fair

Isn't that 'merge' right after a roundabout? So not really a dual carriageway down to one merge at all.

Nowt wrong with sticking to the middle lane as long as you match the speed of the car in front.
It’s the idiots that get aggravated cos you’re not sitting on the back bumper of the car in front that’s the problem.

Everything is wrong with it if you aren't actually overtaking anyone

It’s noticable how traffic in the States moves more smoothly because they aren’t plagued with weaver birds.

Yes when there’s good long stretches of the inside lane clear, but otherwise the weaverbirds are a menace.

Many an occasion I've been able to stick to the inside lane and overtake about 4 or 5 cars before having to pull out because of the slower traffic on the inside lane. I shouldn't be able to do this as the cars I'm overtaking shouldn't be in the f***ing middle lane and I'm not weaving in and out of anything, just sticking to the inside lane until I need to move out because of slower traffic

In other words you’re breaking the law.

If I want to overtake cars in the middle lane, I do it lawfully by moving to the outside lane.

You can overtake slower moving traffic in the middle lane using the inside lane - factomundo, nothing illegal about it

Only legal in congested conditions when generally everything is moving at a limited speed anyway.

“Do Not overtake on the left or move to a lane on your left to overtake. In congested conditions, where adjacent lanes of traffic are moving at similar speeds, traffic in left-hand lanes may sometimes be moving faster than traffic to the right. ... Do Not Weave in and out of lanes to overtake.”
