Sexual Harrassment

This is true. But when you see women get away with murder and nothing happens and then all hell breaks loose because a woman is offended by the most subtle and benign things then it becomes a problem.

For example, this poster is just a bit of fun, no bloke would take offence and would consider it a laugh. If however the message was revered, it would be headline news and horrible misogynistic propaganda. This is when it's went too far and become far more than just annoying, it becomes a serious disability on society.

I know it's not sexual harassment, but it's very closely related and it's about the mismatch that takes place that you talked about in your OP

Oh there’s no denying the double standard.

It’s just in reality if a lass grabs a lads arse he either won’t care or will get a twinge. Unless she’s ugly, then I’d make a complaint.

I think I may well have said something to the lads I worked with that might be construed as harassment - IF and only IF humour was taken out of the equation. And it will have been as a response to something similar. I think it's a sad thing if banter is banished from the workplace but banter where both sides are in on the joke of course. I hope we aren't all going to lose our sense of humour when communicating.

Ah right, that makes more sense. Stands to reason it happens doesn’t it? It’s be interesting to see who.
And then, like you say, perhaps it'll be more in the media focus and the public discussion, if it follows the way the story has gone from the male side in recent weeks. Maybe there'll also be a flood of people coming forward like there has been.

It’d be an interesting one definitely and should happen.

It's Julia Roberts, about what she did to me .
Is your complaint that she only done it once?

Bit about it on the news now, I’m not disputing that it’s an issue for women in the workplace but what I’d like to see, and what would be interesting is how many men have been harassed in the workplace by women.

This is not a woman v man anti feminist thread before anyone starts!

I know I’ve seen stuff in the workplace and on works nights out that would very easily constitute sexual hardassment by women but this goes virtually unreported or unnoticed.

This must happen on a very regular basis. Why is that, should it be highlighted and brought to the media’s attention?

I've had strange women grab my knob a couple of times whilst out on the piss, I thought it was f***ing chos to be honest and wouldn't classify it as a sexual assault.

I understand why some blokes would be offended by it though.

Actually no, no I don't..

That’s the point though, forget which sex is grabbing which genitalia, it’s the act of grabbing genitalia that’s wrong regardless of whether the recipient doesn’t mind it or not?

I brought this up the other day. Two lasses round their phone at work discussing how ‘hot’ this lad was in the office.

Now, if that was two lads looking at a lass on Facebook from the office and the lasses caught them there would be hell on.

I regularly work with the general public in their homes, if a lass was to try owt like that although I wouldn't be upset or feel abused I would definitely bring it to the attention of my manager, purely so I could protect myself from any allegations that may come my way as a result. I had an incident a while back where a lass(very attractive she was too) was wondering round in nothing but a very small towel and was behaving a bit odd, I had a colleague with me at the time and we were both pleased we were there to back each other up incase she made suggestions we were perving on her.

Of course it's wrong, I just happen not to mind strange women grabbing my junk.
Aye, I’ve no problem with it either. Maybe lasses need to be a bit less selfish about this harrasment stuff before the act of grabbing gets banned altogether and we lose out on it. Not that I get grabbed very often mind. In fact this post is utter nonsense. Please ignore.

Does it count if I’m always asked/expected to carry the heavy boxes of paper, or if I’m expected to reach the top shelf and lift stuff down?

I’ve experienced what might be construed as harassment by a lass from work, outside of work but directly after a work event.

Despite her being in a more senior position than me I didn’t feel threatened by it personally or career wise and just told her to piss off.
