X trail starts production at NMUK in 2021.

That means absolutely nothing to be fair. Once the post brexit taxation on exports kicks in i cannot see Nissan staying in the UK especially with the Renault Alliance. A move to France would be the most logical thing to do

What post Brexit export taxation is this?

Unless the plan changes

Tariffs
So, something that doesn’t exist yet. It seems some people are quite prepared to take into account something that hasn’t happened but might happen and yet are not prepared to take into account the major changes/plans Nissan currently have in place for the coming years to counter measure possible tariffs. In fact I’d hazard a guess that most people are completely unaware they exist.

What measures do they have in place to counter tarrifs?

Ive posted them plenty of times in the past on various politics forum threads and frankly can’t be arsed to repeat myself to people who’ll completely disregard actual facts anyway.

I call bullshit on this comment. No-one in Renault/Nissan or the wider automotive industry EVER calls it Nissan Newcastle, that’s just bollocks.

Anyway, back to topic... Renault/Nissan are always looking at new plants for specific projects, they have manufacturing plants all over the world. Indeed in Africa alone they manufacture in Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa. I wouldn’t see how a small plant in Tangiers would be any specific threat to Sunderland. However, the idiotic, ill-educated and misinformed vote to leave the EU remains a massive threat to our own livelihoods.

That gif is from the opening credits of Penny Dreadful.
Yep I thought it was Eva Green.

We will be in a jam if it happens.
The Newcastle factory. You started this load of pap so you could make up a story shoehorning Newcastle into it by way of a Catalan who only exists in your daft newky broon addled heed, you couldn't make it up, even though you just did. Congratulations you prize plonker.:lol::lol::lol:

I've worked in North Africa for the last 17 years and can tell you their work ethic is cack. Nissan would be signing their own fall from grace if they moved there. What quality product can you name that comes out of North Africa and is exported around the world?

Hash?
