Be surpsised mind, I was away for a long weekend with the bairn, had to use me hotspot over the 3 days streaming cack cartoons on Netflix. Used just under 1GB
It's a pain in the arse but for once I'm not getting angry with Sky. If BT Openreach are involved then there's probably a YTS lad wandering around the A19 with a spanner. It seems like a roadworks crew have cut through the fibre. It's not sky's fault really.

how do you figure that? I'd have thought they'd want the A19 back to normal for the morning traffic?
Looks like I was right...
Folk working from home etc. Wonder what attempt they make at compensation?
Yea you were. I presumed they must be digging up the road, but I guess they just need the lane closed for equipment
If I worked from home I’d have been straight to a nearby phone shop and bought a mifi or data dongle.
Compensation will probably just be money off your bill pro rata to what you’ve missed out on. So less than £1 for me
Will get alot of cancelled contrscts though. Can't offer a service that's been paid for. Easy get out.
I would have thought they could reclose the lane to work after rush hour? Seems extremely harsh just to leave it till 21.00 again.
Imagining their call centres dealing with some serious rage like. Folk working from home etc. Wonder what attempt they make at compensation?
I'm just using my phone as a hotspot. Guess I should check on my data usage but I've avoided using it for anything too heavy.Yea you were. I presumed they must be digging up the road, but I guess they just need the lane closed for equipment

I've had enough updates to keep me informed. Any more would have been pointless. What is their fault is the inability to react to the issue when first reported (during the night), to then not be able to get it fixed when access gained... a d the awful communication. Only had maybee 4 updates over last 24 hrs..... shocking
This can just picture them "duh....whats a telephone cable look like"It's a pain in the arse but for once I'm not getting angry with Sky. If BT Openreach are involved then there's probably a YTS lad wandering around the A19 with a spanner.
I work from home so it scuppers most of my plans, might just have the day off and go out and do something instead.
Not when you have unlimited data on an an old 3 plan.Canny costly solution.
I'm lost without itMy kids are lost without it
Watched the Portugal game last night Via tethering and it only used 1.5gb. That's HD and 2 hours of footage.Regardless, even if you had something like a 6GB plan, it's not going to last long, maybe the odd TV show on netflix.

Just checked and got loads (8GB) to last me 15 days. As long as I'm back up and running in the next couple of days I'll be fine.Depending on who you are with, you won't get charged for data when you use your allowance anyway. You just get a 'slower' data connection. O2 completely disconnect your data so you have to buy a a bolt on. I'm sure vodafone and EE just slow it down still
