Talbot Solara first car for me.
I had the Alpine as my first car, utterly shit tbh with the worst gearbox I've ever used, was only 9yrs old when I got it but was full of filler and after about 200 miles the cylinder head gasket went, managed to get most of my money back by selling it at Pallion car auctions, sorry if someone from here bought it......

Hire company gave me a Clio for a few days last month, complete shit. 1.6 diesel that was slow as fuck, couldn't use the sun visor without it flapping on my head, changing gear was like stirring a bag of porridge and the rear window was about the size of a stamp.
Love stirring the porridge me:eek:

Only had 4 cars, worst was my Mondeo that i just bought as a run around cause i didn't have a lot of money, 500 quid and part ex'd by Audi A3 that was falling to bits after being fiercely loyal for 8 years and amassing 200k on the clock. For the money though it was fine, last me 2 years, in that time it had a new engine, clutch, flywheel, gearbox... Was going to scrap it when the clutch went but as we were talking about it the garage opposite bought the exact same car in on the back of a truck with a fucked diesel pump. So we bought that for 80 quid and just swapped the whole front end over. Was going to sell it for 200 quid, was very upfront about the fact it was a bit fucked and needed a new alternator (all the electrics would flicker including the lights for a good month before i got my new car). So was driving it around Durham with this lad keen as mustard to buy it and the alternator went. Ended up getting 60 quid scrap for it.

Can't say i've had a really terrible car though.
Sounds like triggers brush:lol:

I don't want to sound ungrateful - but my Dad gave me his Morris Marina (MSE 549P - sad that even remember the number plate) - 1.3 Super (the irony!). It started most of the time and had a big boot - that's about it for positives. Had an incuarable leak which meant the driver's footwell used to fill with water when it rained - the problem finally resolved itself when my foot went through the floor. Eventually sold it for scrap for £30 - so at least I made a profit.

Talbot Horizon.

Just utterly shit in every way possible.

My father-in-law had one - awful car. Once when I was getting in someone shut the door on my fingers - thankfully the build quality was so poor the door bent around my hand - so no harm done

99 Range Rover diesel auto shocking car, broke down 6 times with 4 different faults in the 950 miles I drove it, sluggish and poor to drive.Lost just under 2 grand altogether in the 10 months I owned it
Worst thing was, I bought it from a friend, who is not my friend anymore ( surprise surprise),cost me just under 2 grand to drive the 950 miles I used it

Got mine from the Coventry plant, was a test car, my uncle worked there and got it really cheap for us. Lasted about 3 years, everything just kept going wrong.

Orion GL.
Got all spluttery after about 150 miles of constant motorway driving which is bloody dangerous tbh. Had Ford and a mechanic marra and a couple of other garages look at it but no one could explain it. It nivver happened with in town driving or shorter motorway trips so was impossible to demonstrate without getting the mechanic in and driving for 300 milesish!
Solved the problem by stopping about half way 120-130 miles between London and Sunderland for a Little Chef Olympic breakfast every time I drove back up. Nivver gave it the chance to do it again.
Twas stolen and written off which is just as well because my conscience wouldn't of allowed me to sell it.

I think they put the engine from yours into a 2000 plate Zafira I had. Couldn't drive more than 100 miles at motorway speed without it going into limp mode. Couldn't get the engine management faults to appear without driving at motorway speeds for over an hour. Total nightmare, binned it after about 9 months

I once drove home from work and it cut out..not joking 40 times in 12 miles..every time I slowed down every time I went round a corner..bag of shite.
