We have massively underestimated The Championship

We haven't underestimated it at all.

Our last 6 seasons at this level (last one 10 years ago with totally different owners, players and manager) have seen us finish 1st four times and 3rd twice, so it is impossible for us not to at least finish in the top 3.

I think the key part of that post there is "10 years ago".

I think it's more overestimating us. From what I have seen the league is very poor with not much quality. I can't think of any team we have played so far that have been particularly impressive.

You lot are underestimating this league. The top of the championship in terms of quality and the lower prem doesn't have much of a gulf, you only need to look at how the newly promoted sides are doing and have done over recent years. There's more money in this league now and it's completely different from when you were promoted with Roy Keane giving work hard plodders a rocket. Warnock and McCarthy aren't having the same joy as they used to in this league either these days either. Gone are the days of experienced 'old guard' getting you up. You need to be a bit more clever.

We've languished for years and have seen teams spend their way out of here or go up with a solid plan. You lot don't look to be doing either.

How's your midfield & attack lining up there?

Ideally with 3 of Watmore, McGeady, Mcmanaman, Honeyman, Gooch or Williams behind Grabban or Maja. Between Mcnair, N'Dong, Cattermole and Gibson for the 2 holding players. Sounds ok typed out, just a shame they're under-performing

I'd say something like that is as good as we have at the moment.

We are a mid table quality squad who are under performing plus a hole up front.
It all depends on Grayson imposing any kind of consistent style, belief and togetherness by Xmas and finding half a striker in what we have + Maja & Watmore

Agree. But it's about getting the basics right. You know, pass, make yourself available, want the ball, midfield create, wide players put crosses in, forwards get in the box etc. We can barely put a shot on the goal in 90 minutes. Maybe selling one or two and the wage reduction (£40m would have covered the revenue for one year to get straight back up)
Unfortunately we sold/loaned/gave away every drop of quality we had. "But, but, but. They were sulking and didn't want to be here. THE ***** are under contract. If the manager says your staying (like Klopp, Wenger, Pep, the Southampton fella, Pulis) they f***ing stay. We should (sorry more than likely would have been top 3/4 if we kept everyone) . This fucka Grayson telling Ndong and Kone that they will almost certainly be away in January (if anyone wants them) is another defeatist attitude. " People saying we will blend and buy in January are in for yet more disappointment.

Most Championship clubs are made up of players that can find each other with a 10yrd pass. This puts most way above our current level.

We haven't played Cardiff but neither Leeds nor Sheffield united were very good imo. Sheffield Utd on Saturday were little more than organised would almost certainly have been 0-0 had we been the same.

I thought Leeds looks decent against us. I was quite impressed by Sheffield United if I'm honest, I'd never heard of the majority of their players but thought most did well. A lot of this has to do with how awful we were like

I mentioned Cardiff because of their current form

Haven't seen Cardiff play so can't comment on them really.
I honestly don't think either Leeds or sheff Utd were anything better than ordinary. Unfortunately we were worse.

Aye fair enough. I thought Sheffield United were better than Leeds although we were worse against them so it could just be that

Thought Leeds looked the better of the two wasn't impressed much with Shef Utd.

I thought they were pretty good for a newly promoted side although I do accept we made it easy for them as we were awful. That Clayton Donaldson bloke is exactly what we are missing for me

I just thought it looked they they knew how to play to his strengths. As I said before they were well organised and had a plan. We looked the exact opposite.
