We have massively underestimated The Championship

QPR
Sheff. Wednesday
Nottm Forest
Fulham
Hull City
Barnsley
Reading
Norwich City
Aston Villa

These are the only ones which haven't.

Bristol City
Burton
Brentford
Preston
Millwall

It is a notoriously hard league to get out of. Some former Prem teams have fallen further than this. Blackpool, Wigan, Portsmouth etc.

I don't want soundbites about how the players are hurting, I want to see results.
We've just been relegated. That means for every club in the Championship, we're one of the teams to beat because we still have relegation hangover.
We need to come out swinging against Notts Forest tomorrow or I can see there being an absolute shitstorm from the fans against Hull next weekend

Maybe you did. I didn't. We will struggle massively and those shouting about relegation and stability etc have egg on their faces.

Nobody has underestimated the championship, but nobody expected us to have a1.3 mill budget to rebuild the squad

true on both counts in my op,for all Grayson seems a decent enough bloke,the only success he's had is in league one,unless of course hovering around mid table counts,who we could get if he goes?honestly no idea,but someone who can organise a back four would be a starter for me

I just can't see it getting any better. You'd have expected him to have managed to get the basics right by now, he hasn't and we're not getting enough attempts on goal to win games.

Precisamos aceitar que estamos condenados, e temos sido condenados desde o primeiro apito. Senhor David Moyse era o gerente mais recente a ser castigado e veja o que aconteceu. Senhor David Moyse é/era apenas o tipo de Gerenciador que precisávamos das circunstâncias no momento que ele estava aqui. Para dizer que o Senhor David Moyse drenada a vida fora do clube estava errado. Ah tão errado. Agora estamos Swanee River sem remo. Ah!!!! Espere um minuto, há outro con-agente a caminho com um jogador que realmente não quer tocar para nós. Espero que isso ajude.

I think all relegated clubs underestimate the Championship to certain degree but we have massively underestimated! And when I say 'we' I mean Short, Bain and Grayson. I was happy with the appointment of Grayson as he seemed like a sensible choice. But I think he has a League 1 attitude. His signing seem to be more about battling and hard work. A real British attitude. If we wanted someone like that then we should have got Mick McCarthy or Neil Warnock in! We want to be challenging for The Championship but only want to pay League 1 money. I don't care what anyone says about the debt. We could at least afford to give any new manager something in between £8m-£10m to spend. If you look at what other clubs have spent in this league they aren't splashing the cash around!
 
With a higher net spend than the Mugs had last season we should be pissing it, simple as
