4-0 Boro

And we still went down
 
Reading scored when we were in the que outside to collect our tickets.

Think I it finished 1-0.
 
Remember one when I was a kid at Roker Park. Scoreboard wasn't working so nosy late comers didn't realise we were 1 down.

Sure it was Southend. Might have even been Collymore who was the goal scorer.

We'll recorded on here that the 1-0 win on the Friday night v Bristol City was the breaking of the goal drought. Was my 1st time in the Fulwell and the next 3 just fucked me up for the rest of my life. Probably was always going to be that way but those 3 games were mental. Still waiting for a repeat.
 
Did we not score a couple really quickly against Oxford in the 7-0 at SoL?

Edit, nah scrap that, just checked StatCat & the goals were 3 & 6 minutes.
 
In laws are Bradford season ticket holders and I was sat with them when Ledley King scored after 10 secs. f***ing hilarious.

Wasn't at the game as I had to babysit the young'un as me ma and da had tickets to see Bobby Thompson at Whitehill Club in Chester-le-Street, they were desperate to go so I said I'd give the game a miss so they could. Anyway, I had Metro radio on, not full commentary but they would go across to the game now and then. They were at the game when the commentator was going through the teams at kick-off and it was like..."N0, 5 blah blah, No.6 blah blah, No. 7 blah blah, No. 8 blah blah, No. 9 blah blah, No. 10 Bob Lee, he's just scored, No. 11 blah blah, substitute blah blah". I was like "eh, did he say we've just scored?" Then he went right through the West Brom team, I'm thinking I've heard wrong then at the end of the West Brom team he says "so, 1-0 to Sunderland, great start, Bob Lee, and back to the studio".
Weird as owt, must have been a mag cos no emotion whatsoever.

Soz for the long boring story but never forgot it.

Oh aye and when me da came home he wouldn't believe when I told him the score, thought I was just trying to make him feel guilty for missing the game and then when he did find out it was 6-1 he was apologising for weeks!
 
Watford Vs us early 90's. Seemed pretty much from the kickoff. Remember Bally doing the hand gesture thing after. Think we got beat 3-1. Bought a pin badge on the way back to the car. Was with my dad. Great day. Shite result. That's football. I was about 13
