Sorry, been away with work this week, just hoyed it on, and aye, a 2gb update :eek: Cant find any info online about it which is strange. Downloading now will take a look. Anyone else got info?

Ok so looks like it was a "performance and stability" update, strange as the second is due out in a few weeks...

Biggest problem I find with the game is the laggy/stuttery backswing.

Hope it's ironed out in the new one.

Aye occasionally happens to me but it's quite rare to be honest, I know it's big issue with some players like.

An SMB Society is definitely the way to go like, the trailor makes it sounds as though that's where they have directed their efforts.

Also says that current course designs can be brought forward to this one - good news for @Mr Bojangles and your St Bede course :)

The better news with the designer is that you can have multi level water, meaning you can have streams and lakes higher up than sea level. Means I can get the High tide version of St Bedes finished. It's a but daft that you're limited to being a member of just 5 societies though. I play in several community run events over at tgctours.com and it looks like they will have to be set up as societies.

Got my copy pre-ordered from the xbox store for 29.99 anyway, shame the yanks get it 3 days before the rest of the world though

Yeah I have pre ordered on PS4 for the same price, shame about it not all being released on the same day like.

We can just wait and see what ends up happening with societies like, I'm going to sign up for tgctours.com this time round as didn't bother with the first one being a late comer to the game...

Just came on to ask the same thing. Was thinking of a new thread but may as well just keep it in here.
Just put a pre order in on PSN to get the bonus stuff, have set it away to download now. Think we can give it a couple of weeks or so and get used to however they have set out these Societies, then get something set up for here. An SMB one could be class :cool:
 
mine is already downloaded and installed, just waiting for midnight when they allow it to be played. They've ramped up the difficulty on this version
 
Heard GC2 is having a load of server problems a nd they are looking into it and hope to fix it by next week. Might hold off getting it till issues are sorted.

Also sounds like they are using GC1's servers as reports saying it is now unplayable.
 
Server issues are generally when the yanks come online. The new swing mechanic is taking some getting used to but I'm getting there. Trying to stay with tour clubs
