Let's just not develop the city center then just so you can have a nice view of the bridge eh? Some people complain about out like

Well you could have put the new structure in a hundred other places on the Vaux site and still have kept the vista... why didn't someone not check it out first? You could prob do it from Google Maps.

The best vista in Sunderland was coming down Chester or Durham road and the view of Minister was fantastic and then they built the shit tip of a Travel Lodge to block the view. It was a great car park and at the time there was loads of places the Travel Lodge could have gone. Anyone complaining about the Vaux site should remember there was great big brewery there not long ago. No jobs in the city centre but look at the derelict land and the lovely view!

Would have been much better to knock the high street down, build a more modern version with Riverside bars and cafes with a link to Keel Square which could have become a Business quadrant.

Then youd have had your offices and a feature that would make people want to visit the city.
