Love how I've had to relocate because my puny 2000 capacity stadium can't handle matches in Europe :D
I'm now playing in Gretna, former home of now-defunct Gretna Green, now called Gretna 2008

1st qualifying round came against a team finishing 3rd in Hungarian league
2nd round against FC Reykavik
3rd round against Lech Poznan
Think my European journey will come to an end in playoffs against Real Sociedad.

Despite given 2.5 mil to spend I've only had a net spend of £350k. 1 of my Strikers started generating interest and wouldn't move from his 'Match Highest earner' clause so he had to go. Sold back to his ex-club Raith Rovers for a club sell record of £200,000 :D

Started a game with Auxerre in Ligue 2. They have no money and are heavily in debt with a stadium in disrepair. However, cracking youth system so I'll be using that going forward.

Have a fairly decent squad and the board want me to gain a respectable league position as a target.

Stand out player in the squad is a guy called Samed Kilic, a CM who is labelled as the next Michel Platini, and Ruben Aguilar, a right back.

I've signed just 2 players, a right winger called Marcus Coco, on loan from Guingamp, and Yaya Sanogo from Arsenal on a season long loan.

Started the season with a loss to newly promoted Red Star93, losing 1-2 to a 90th minute goal. First home game of the season was against Lens and we picked up a 2-0 win thanks to goals from Sanogo. Picked up wins in our next 2 league games V Bourg-Peronnes (2-0) and Brest (3-2). Stand out performances so far are from Aguilar, and my left winger Albert Diaw - scoring 3 and assisting 4 (all goals scored so far). Brought in a few players from youth who are all playing their part, and one seems to be very promising, right sided midfielder called Francois Fumu Tamuzo.

Really have a good feeling about this game, and it's the most I've enjoyed it for a good while.

TL:DR - Started new game in France, it's going well.

Sunderland save is starting to get frustrating

In 3 seasons, finished 9th, 1st, and 1st, while winning 1 FA cup and 1 Charity shield. Fourth season, I'm sitting second and top of Champs League group stage after 3 games. The two league wins were both on goal difference.

Have a very young squad and even more out on loan. Got a whole batch of 16-year-olds to develop.

The champs league quarter final game against Real Madrid made me realise the squad is probably too young and in need of established first-teamers. It was 5-2 on aggregate but that was flattering. I was totally outclassed.

However, when scouting players, everyone interested in signing is only ranked 2.5/3stars. Anyone 4 star or above are the likes of Dybala, Pogba and completely unachievable.

I did manage to pick up some bargains from Chelsea, who are absolutely crippled financially. Picked up Barkley, Casimero and Christensen for relative peanuts. They've made a significant impact but unless I can do well in CL, I think I'll struggle to drastically improve further

8 games in, and star player Samed Kilic has demanded a transfer. FFS.

10 games in and i'm sat 2nd, 1 point behind Laval, who I beat in our encounter. Through to the third round of the Coupe de la Ligue where I'll play Evian at their place.

Picked up some good results, obviously the wins against Laval and Lens stand out, but also a comeback and win game against Clermont in the League cup, winning 3-2 after being 0-2 down at half time. Sold some deadwood off for small amounts (40k and 60k) and then had a bid of 250k from Olympiakos for first choice left back Kenji Van-Boto with add ons totalling the deal up to £475k. With the club bleeding money I had to accept it, and it's sort of been a blessing in disguise as I've unearthed a gem from my under 19's:

Stats look terrible, but he does seem promising, honest!

And, my star player, who wants to leave:

Finances are NOT looking good.

18 games in now, and regained top spot, after beating Clermont 2-0 while Stade Reims lost at relegation bound Le Havre.

Our title defence had a rip-roaring start! Won 5 of the first 6 games scoring 22 goals. Valencia and Cordoba both went for five, Depor and Huesca went for four and Villarreal for three, a draw away at Sevilla a canny result given they've bought well over the summer. Next game was the Vasco Derby in San Sebastian, Sociedad having been taken over by a tycoon in the summer and invested £85m in new players. I'm sure they'll do a little better than relegation strugglers as they've been in the past few years.

Anyway, the signings made a difference and they beat us 2-0 with £17m buy Jordan Ayew getting both goals. We were never in the game and had the added bonus of Inaki Williams and Fran Calzado going off injured and Laporte getting a second yellow on 90+1, a good day all-round. Barca away then RM at home, we were cruising but I guess its all about a response! Malaga are the surprise package and are topping the league, winning 6 and losing just once. Ourselves and Sevilla both sit on 16 points then theres the usual candidates after that.

Seemingly against all FM law the lads are flying, sitting 6th in the Prem from 8 games having twatted the mags 4-0 on the opening day

Took a little break from the Spakenburg save, but got back into the swing of things in the last couple of nights with another title and cup win. After the previous season's close call, we romped home this time around by 14 points sealing the title with five games to spare. Our run in the Champions League ended sooner than last season as we finished 3rd in a group with Liverpool, Real and CSKA; however this time we made it all the way through to the semi-finals of the Europa League where we were simply outclassed by Man Utd.

What has started to happen now is a big turnover of our better players as the giants of Europe come calling. During the January window we lost a centre back, attacking mid and right back for £30m in total to Benfica, Wolfsburg and Lyon respectively, and now the summer window has seen our Greek wonderkid join Arsenal for £20m and along with our other right back being signed by Bayern for £12.5m. It's a challenge trying to replace these young quality players with even more youth, just feels like I'll buy someone class and they'll be gone a year later! On the plus side we did sign a wonderkid to replace the right backs on a free transfer.

The stadium is getting an extension to just under 30,000 and the facilities have almost reach state of the art levels, and we're now the 27th highest ranked club in Europe along with now being the most reputable club in Holland. Not bad seeing as 8 years ago nee fucker had heard of the mighty Spakkers

Who are this year's best cheap players and wonderkids to consider signing for Sunderland please? I realise they'll have been mentioned plenty of times but this thread has 44 pages...

Kuki
Pinamomti
Sander Berge

And Joel Asoro is lethal if developed properly

Thanks. Reckon the team needs much doing to it in the first season, or is it decent enough to finish in a respectable position? The long term injuries at the very start aren't going to help.
£12M probably won't go very far though and it always seems hard to get rid of our players every year.

I think they've vastly overestimated how good our players are this year. The squad is capable of doing well.

Definitely sign Kuki and Pinamonti. I got both on my Sunderland save. Rotate them with Asoro and Alario.

They cost pennies and Kuki is good enough for immediate game time. Both will turn out to be very good.

Thanks. Think I'll just look to use the little funds we have on bringing in some young players, like Julian Green, for competition and potential and see what happens next season.

Approaching the end of my 5th season with Annan.. Hadn't realised Scotland only get given 2 Champions League spots so the task I set myself was harder than I expected.

Raided the 2nd tier of Spanish league as there was alot of talent willing to join on decent demands and ended up signing 6 Spanish players and 4 Scottish with a net spend of £490k - Sold £400k worth of players, bought £890k worth - 1 Spanish player on a regen from FC Granada aptly named Rafael Benitez - And it got off to an awful start, losing 2-0 in the first leg to Real Sociedad in Europa League playoffs, there was a chance until my debutant CB decided to hack someone down only after 4 minutes which made me miserable, then losing to newly-promoted Falkirk actually left me thinking do I want to continue with Annan!

Thankfully things have stabled out, currently 4th with 4 games to go before the League Split - There's 2 points seperating 2nd and 4th with myself Hearts and Rangers for the 'Battle for 2nd'
My Rafa has 27 goals in 28 games, my Scouts predicted he'd be a Star Player before he even started developing, I'm just grateful the fact I put a £900k buyout clause on his head after the loan.

I've yet to beat Celtic, even after they went down to 9 men - I thought surely this is the moment but Leigh Griffiths buries one top corner for a 1-0 win and I'm raging. My record vs them is now Played 7 lost 7.
Yet to beat Rangers either, but its always stupidly high scoring draws - I'm now played 7 drew 7 with them :D

My Investor chairman has decided it's time to use the excess funds to upgrade the clubs facilities - Including my puny stadium getting upgraded from 2000 seats to 3200

On an interesting note. Sunderland is now managed by Alan Pardew. :D Sitting comfortably mid table in the Prem surpringly

Totally fucked up my Sunderland save, Spent most my budget on a striker to play with Dembele but then forgot I had 4 class centre midfielders and didnt want to drop 2 of them. So I sell Dembele for 45m and then nobody as good as Dembele wanted to come.

Persevered but feel as though Ive proper fucked up the team and doing shit in the league so Ive resigned. Hopefully get a good job and return to the lads in the future. I really need to start creating saves at end of season points as dont have time to start endless saves

Now Stoke manager bottom of the league won 4 of last 5 but still 18th. Anyone signed Ademola Lookman? Trying to get my wage bill down to sign him, 11m seems a bargain.

What are the best tactics to use? Sick of getting hammered all the time
I always use a 4-2-3-1 whenever i have the right squad to do so.

Attacking fullbacks, inside forwards, a box-to-box cm playing with a defensive playmaker

On my shef wed save, I walked out of the club as my board thought it was great to sell all my star players when a half decent offfer came in during the January transfer window.
However I got 10% of the collected transfer fees to re strengthen...
I jumped ship and got appointed as dusseldorf manager my job is to keep them in the second division of Germany.

3 games in charge and have 6 points I've pulled us out and got us sitting 12th at the min

Sounds like the club were well and truly fucked, financially
