I've met some truly mad Sunderland supporters .....

Aye there's not many pits in Tower Hamlets marra

We never wore colours away, never announced who we were but were sussed almost every time.

You'll remember being asked the time, in pubs, on the street, etc, by people you know were just listening for your accent.

There's a funny story I'll tell, regarding that, when I have more time ;)

I've never seen one post claiming any of our fans were hoolies. Feel free to point it out.

There are quite a few and quite frank ...... but none as you've described.

You've already said that you went into the kop in our colours FFS!

No there isn't.

Certainly more common but why put yourself in firing line by wearing teams colours, going in oppo end, going in oppo boozers etc. Asking for trouble given how volatile you claim it was.
I keep hearing that none of our fans were hoolies. Now going in home end on away days and scrapping with home fans surely constitutes hooliganism?
Never went in the oppo end , never went into oppo boozers , stopped wearing colours after 85 . Still used to get ambushed . Maybe I should have stayed in my bedroom .
As for fighting maybe I should have let Chelsea's "top boys " slash me to fuck or blind me with their Stanley knives . Maybe I could have claimed the moral high ground then eh ?

No doubt you'll still deny it though. You def never went looking for it though and certainly not a hooligan.

Why would I deny it?

I've told that story elsewhere on the board and am quite happy with it.

As I explained we'd gone to the match where there was a huge number of Sunderland which meant hundreds couldn't get into the away section. It was pay at the gate so loads went in the Kop including me and my mates. When we realised how many of us were in there we gradually came together until we were shifted. The colours weren't an issue and both were red & white. I didn't go to the game with the intention of going in the home section to cause trouble ...... I definitely didn't go 'looking for it' and I'm certainly no hooligan.

My point was that I didn't usually go into other people's pubs, streets, tubes, etc with my colours on show.

By the way, top marks on memorising everything I've ever posted

You said you didn't recall it
Wether you had intentions or not you did it at the height of bother at grounds which was asking for trouble.
You wouldn't consider scrapping on terraces as hooligan behaviour then?

I recall the match, I didn't recall mentioning wearing colours .... I don't bookmark every one of my posts as you seem to.

It would depend on the circumstances and your intentions ....... sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't.

So, you were claiming something about 'people throwing their hands up in faux incredulity' ...... do you have 1 example?

So going into an away end in teams colours and scrapping on terraces at height of trouble at grounds? You wouldn't describe that as hooliganism?

You. Go on then deny it.

I'm not being cross questioned by the likes of you when you're obviously trying to derail the thread again

Just post your 'proof' about faux incredulity, people saying there were no Sunderland hooligans and me being a hooligan and starting trouble in the Kop.

When you've done all that I'll respond.
