Bain

On the basis that Bain wants to bring in younger players and develop them, you would have to say that McNair, Love and NDong all fit that bill for a start. It's far too early for anyone to be writing any of them off.
When do we write them off . When we are struggling in the championship .

It's a good thing as we're prepared to sell but only when a replacement is found.
I've been impressed with Bain.
This.
One of his main aims when he took the job was apparently to get the fans back on side and to get rid of the disconnect between players and fans. The Nissan trip was one of these

Well neither atm. If we weren't skint, maybe we'd be able to call it either way or maybe we'd see this transfer strategy in action.
We have no money, therefore we can't see it. Therefore to call him either of the above is naive and childish
So hes just another in a long line ellis has lied to in order to get them at the club?

I don't trust Bain tbh, think he's pretty much tasked with being an asset stripper while trying to placate the fans with fairly glib media releases under the guise of being "open and honest and reconnecting with the fans". A wolf in sheep's clothing if you like. Time will tell.

Strong words. Unlike you I must add. I have just heard he is ruthless son of a bitch like.

Surely to fuck you dont believe he has succeeded in this:lol:

Bain is in a very difficult position. He has inherited a house of cards waiting the collapse, debt that is out of control and has been built on previous bad debts, a fan base frustrated and disillusioned and add to that a first team squad which is low on quality and you have a perfect storm brewing. He needs to try and stop the rot and put things right and can only do this by starting to reverse back on what has already been done. It makes for a grim ride but he is trying to change things. He is being perfectly honest, and not pulling any punches. He has ripped the boardroom setup to pieces, started to make in-roads into reducing costs and the out of control wage bill and looking to build communication with the fans through the BLC and supporters groups - all things our previous regime had no intention on doing. The downside is that doing this leaves us short of quality players, which for a football team is a pretty important part of it and his cost-cutting of the wage bill has really took its toll on the squad but the manager has to take some responsibility for that also. I don't feel he has done anything too wrong to be honest, he certainly isn't asset stripping he is simply doing what he needs to do and has been asked to do.

Don't think he can be blamed for the shambles on the pitch tbh

So 24 days into the window, we sign a 34 year old defender?

Given the fact that we've only got 13 fit first teamers and have been struggling at the back, I welcome almost any bodies we bring in
So one of his biggest tasks he has failed spectacularly at?

Look at what he has actually done for the first team, absolutely fuck all.

Scalped a few behind the scenes saving a few quid is all he has on his safc cv so far and is overseeing a horror show of a transfer window where he is looking more to get first teamers out than in.

His "long term" strategy couldnt be more short term if he tried and is the blueprint of his many failed predecessors.
