The latest fall guy for ellis or just another bluffing a living at safc?

19th october 2016.

“This football club has to get better at buying and selling football players.

“I see it and I hope I can achieve. Like it or lump it we should be looking at bringing players to this football club and selling them for a greater value.

“We have to look at acquiring players at a younger age too.”

24 days into the first window since those comments and we have lescott the pensioner on a 5 month deal.

Welcome Back Hughbert.

I don't trust Bain tbh, think he's pretty much tasked with being an asset stripper while trying to placate the fans with fairly glib media releases under the guise of being "open and honest and reconnecting with the fans". A wolf in sheep's clothing if you like. Time will tell.
This being the case, we should see his true colours in the next window after this one.

So one of his biggest tasks he has failed spectacularly at?

Look at what he has actually done for the first team, absolutely fuck all.

Scalped a few behind the scenes saving a few quid is all he has on his safc cv so far and is overseeing a horror show of a transfer window where he is looking more to get first teamers out than in.

His "long term" strategy couldnt be more short term if he tried and is the blueprint of his many failed predecessors.
A few quid?
:eek::lol::lol:
Fuck me

And yes; his first window, in which we are desperate for money, he looks to bring in some funds by selling salable assets - Aye, the bloke's a kernt

No, Huge Berk is too f***ing stupid to think of that.

Do you allow for the possibility that Lescott has been signed as a cheap cover option given the injury list and Pappy's imminent suspension? And that he's not part of the greater transfer strategy?
What, like thinking logically and sensibly, remember this is the SMB mate!

So whats he actually saved then gobshite?

Name what he has done and the massive financial implications they have had instead of just being a prick as usual.

Was Huge Berk banned like?
Was in australia for new year and stayed a few weeks extra checking out houses mate.

So the injury list in defence is actually nobody and he was here long before saturdays game so what exactly is this logic you are grasping at straws for?

Unreal mate cheaper than over here and pools and bbq areas included in the price.
So, when did he arrive, how long before Saturday? He was being considered for a short term deal, important word in there. One of our only fit centre halves is now looking at a 3 game ban and we are desperately short.

I doubt in the short time Lescott has trained a decision would have been to keep him had Papy not been looking at a ban, think logically you knacker.

Sorry but that's rubbish mate. Ask any rangers fan, he tried to warn everyone of what would happen under Whyte and was the good guy that paid the price.

Give him a chance of fixing this massive mess he's come into, he's not a magician and we should finally appreciate the honesty. The OP is why a lot of owners, players and managers don't stand a chance up here, fans want everything yesterday even when the guy has one arm tied behind his back.

Yeah we had him in training just for the craic:lol:

The more likely scenario is he is kone's replacement given all the noises about money coming out of the club.
