Sunderland were in the Leazes that day, was I boxing day I think, held their ground and even took it for a spell.

Heard that Story years ago. Often wondered if it was true as only one lad (TP) ever told it. He always said it was Celtic (not Sammy), and he said the Mags shit themselves, when they realised it was a toy they started pissing themselves laughing. Thanks for confirming it.

Was Celtic a ginger skinhead? Back in the early 70's l got picked up by the SAFCSA coach at Leeming Bar, and all l can say is it was a fun day in London, away to QPR! Skinhead, known as Celtic, kept appearing and disappearing all day..coming back with more and more war wounded. Big scrap on the tube at Shepherds Bush, someone had a finger end sliced off, another temporarily blinded by knitting needled

No he's not ginger, but I was and I was on that coach and remember the tube incident well, big black lad came at me with a pair of scissors.
Was Whitey from Seaham lost his finger end, trapped in the door between coaches.
My recollection it was not just QPR in the scrap, I think Chelsea were with them as well.

Shaun, coming out of NCS in the 70's and facing the scum mob waiting for us and coming out of the Geordie Pride opposite was an experience that those who were there will never forget, times since have been a doddle in comparison to those days, still good fun though now days.

Remember when I was a bairn. Palace at home in FA cup. Me & my mate were up to some skullduggery with CP fans down Roker where their coaches were. By time we got towards home Blue Bell was opened. Went in & TP was in with mates had 4 fedoras on stacked up one on top of other on his head( their fans were all wearing them) 2 CP silk scarfs
round his neck. "Alreet lads seen any Palace fans '

My mate had a gun pulled out on him somewhere in Eastern Europe late 90's/ 00's. Slovakia or Poland or somewhere like that. Daft arse smacked the lad with the gun and then ran off whilst he was stumbling back up.
