mags new we were coming weeks before but not the way we did at bath lane it was spur of the moment by us fact ..i new most the lads from peterlee vauxies gateshead fatfield shields jarrow it just happend minutes after trains pulled in ..drink .old scores . hate . bottle . the lot came together that day and result was lots hurt both sides bobbies and dogs hurt bad crack . and the waterloo pub hq of the so called hard mags them days done fair and square ..no chant by them they were on back foot all day even tess man admited to me years later our day ...it was life 79 them or us we won on the pitch and off it why would we walk up to sjp in red n white scarfs only to be beaton up by fat mags in 50s not that day the 50s got it back off 16 to 50 year olds from all of then county durham lads thats gateshead sunderland south shields ect ect and mackie from hexham sorry mate

fratured left side of skull .burst ear drum ..that was the pump handle ....it all went up berti slosher ben cooney mick aggers mackie tom.l lots more on for cort of old gallowgate end garage 100s onto 100s i seen tucka rowe a mag mate we were best pals then we met in middle of cort the fights allover ..a fat mag in 50s me 20 ish called me something nasty cant remember anyway tucka a mag sparked him yeh mag onto mag then berti hit tucka i thought arr narr wot do i do ...that fat mag wanted my blood so i pulled a pump off the stand swung ot a few times without letting go but finnally it was to heavy so i hoyed it the pump came back sparking me out ..crack is lads made circal around me as mags tried to kick me into gateshead if not i may have been deed now ...bobbies in hospital days later tried to get a statement off me he was in tears fact ..no charges it was self defence it was though that mag was a fat git ... dont laugh mate please had 30 odd years of this ...funny but lucky ad do it again though for my mates huh huh .

you nasty bunch same comments 30 years later but i love you all ftm

I worked in Newcastle in late 70's/80's & knew a few of their lads. Healey, Little Charlie, Britches. Went for a few drinks with them a few times. I even went to see them play Bastia at SJP. (Johnny Repp get in). Regan was on the fringes of their squad & was a twat. I was in the RE against them, remember when they had a mixed area between Sland & the skunks. Me & my mate were there and the mags come in. (Don't know year 1979?). Anyway Regan came in and he'd had a right kicking. Big fat eye, bloody nose, cut lip. He said he tried to get in the Fulwell. Got stopped by the coppers & got twatted by a load of Sunlun while the coppers turned a blind eye. Hopefully that will make you feel a bit better;)
 
The police at SJP were anti-Sunderland, fair enough.

The police at RP were a bunch of wankers imo ...... I always felt they were hostile to Sunderland.

Ah well you've got history. They used to drink in a couple of bars down John Dobson St, The Portland? & The Blandford???. Long time ago never kept in touch with any of vthem.

The Portland was one of their main bars back then. Jimmy Nail used to get in there as well, though he was known as Jimmy Bradford.
