Gilly with Ken Knighton having defeated WHU to get promotion in 1980

The NUFC v SAFC 1979 one BTW are events from The Battle Of Bath Lane

Wow, that bottom one is a shocker

Dunno how it happened but Gilly travelled with us for a while, perhaps @Pedro or @Richard The Third knows why.

Absolutely great lad but nearly got us into bother a few times.

He always wanted to run on the pitch

I used to work with one the lads on the Bath Lane photo . The same lad was nearly killed when he fell onto the tube train line at Swiss Cottage in 85 during an ambush by Chelsea .

I think this one is v Bolton Wanderers, Easter Monday 1976 when we won promotion

Last I heard he was a football agent and living in Monaco. Lass I know/knew from sunderland told me years ago that she was at a party once where he had the gift of the gab and shagged about 3 lasses at the party in 90 minutes.

I think this one is of a cross section of our support at Elland Road circa 1980. Looks like we've just scored?

I was in Toulouse for the World Cup, with 2 of my sons, and bumped into Tom and his mates.

There was a mini riot going on around us and the locals were throwing rocks etc. I was shouting at the police, in French, to get their helmets on and charge them.

To everyone's surprise, including mine, they did exactly what I'd said and we were cracking up ...... I met them at Watford at the end of last season and we laughed again ;)

Edit: It was Tom and his mates at Watford, not the CRS .......
I know Tom well. Cracking lad.

I was in the Clock Stand paddock for that one. The away tie was at Xmas time and was one of the best away days I had, apart from the result. Dancing on the tables in their supporters club before the game and we were invited back and got home late the following day. I was in Bolton recently and drove past where Burnden Park used to be I couldn't help but chuckle at the memory.

Can't remember if it was a scorpion, but did have a tattoo on his neck when it was only wrongun's who did it, not hipsters & male models like now. Absolutely fearsome looking fella who you wouldn't forget in a hurry. Was on my bus down to the infamous Milk Cup Semi Final at Chelsea.
By the way, he wasn't just a random bald bloke, he was a a proper massive skinheed.

He still goes, seen him a few weeks back.
