I'm looking forward to mid table relaxation, and the occasional flirtation with the right end of the table.

I'm also not sure why people moan about Allardyces playing style.... Looked great to me towards the end of the season :-)

I think he's a great player to have in the squad but has probably been left behind as a starter, especially if he's not going to be in the role just in front of the defence which Kirchhoff has made his own.

He loves having a remit, something to aim for.
Last season it was obviously to just keep us up.
I think he'll be aiming for more than that, something like safety by early March?
As long as he's able to keep us playing competitively I'll be happy.

Despite my misgivings about him (which remain), I do think that he seems a pretty good fit for the club and seems to have clicked with the fans, which is a big thing and can hopefully carry us on to better glories.

Misgivings about Big Sam, misgivings about Defoe yet seemingly none with Benitez... I can tell you're a passionate Sunderland fan, but your radar is off kilter ;)

To be fair the priests football match in father Ted was a step up in quality compared to the shite we had to put up with prior to his arrival :confused:

I believe we were in 12th place form from the transfer window onwards so as long as we keep the players we had, it shouldn't be too much of a stretch.

I hope I'm as wrong about Allardyce as I am/was about Defoe, I'll tell you that mate. Christ, half as wrong and we'd be doing alright!
 
8th - 12th.
Safe by February will suit me fine.
I get the feeling that this relegation-dodging episode is the start of something different and better.
I like his technical approach, the fact we avoid injuries and the vastly improved fitness at last.
With a few choice additions to the squad, a clear out of the dross and a good pre-season, I suspect we will fly out of the starting blocks in August.
 
I think his training/fitness regime is the biggest difference. Usually going into the last 6-8 games we're riddled with injuries and looking tired. Neither seemed to happen last season. In fact we got stronger the longer the season went on.
Cautiously optimimistc for next year.
 
I think top ten this time it's the best squad in ages and with a couple of more signings we should be up there with West Ham Southampton and the likes.
A season free from relegation worries beckons :)
 
Im looking nee further than reversing this stat.
237 days in the relegation zone
38 days out of the relegation zone.
Hopefully that will result in minimum 17th.
