Not impressed with takeaway but will sit in another time to see if it's any better

Everything just arrived soggy , hardly any toppings on the pizza and a carton of chilli had been squashed and leaked all over the bag with the limp chips and skins in

That's because you live in the sticks.

If I remember correctly and read it right, Divinos make pizzas in the Neapolitan style where it's all about the thin base and toppings are minimal. In which case anyone ordering a pizza to be delivered from there will need to expect a very different product from the quite greasy, cheesy, toppings-laden heavy pizzas supplied by most takeaways.

Am I right?

Yes.

Anyone tried that new pizza shop where Junipers Pantry used to be on the Barnes roundabout to pass verdict?

Looks like a decent bit of money has been spent kitting it out and looked quite busy the few times i've gone past. Nowt on tripadvisor about it though.

Pronto aye, their special kebab is the best in Sunderland imo.

In that case I would probably respect it for what it is but be left wanting for more. I like my pizza to have a bit of heft and gooiness.

Appreciated the toppings were good quality but the pizza itself (base and cheese) weren't good enough to compensate. I think what contributed was that we had a large pizza half and half , the smaller ones would possibly have retained their crispness better.

Based (no pun intended) on lastnights offering I make better myself

You'll have been expecting that plastic cheese and a great big sloppy mess as let's face it that's what you wanted didn't you?

No , I very rarely eat takeaway pizza for that reason so was looking forward to something better

The cheese was the grated stuff on any other pizza , least on the ones I rarely make I use sliced fresh mozzarella

Don't understand this at all. It's always been great with lovely mozzarella on them when I've been.
