Wrestling - Part 3

Brand split is apparently coming back to an extent. Not full split but some talent raw exclusive and some smackdown exclusive.
Source? The WWE was quite good in 2003 with seperate shows, when Bischoff ran Raw and Stephanie ran Smackdown. I remember Raw was the entertainers and smackdown was the better wrestling or younger talent.

Source is wade Keller who runs pwtorch. Came from one of his sources on the company. Idea for Lawler to smackdown is to make it feel more important. With them moving the Thursday they think they can get up to 2.5m viewers. Want both shows to be must see again

Make it feel shit more like

Roster split would be good as both shows are same wrestlers rotating and fighting each other again and again. Smackdown is just raw light but with Cena or Rollins having night off

Does that mean they're bringing back the WHC?

Only just begun for him, he's on their developmental show called NXT. He's called Finn Balor now for merchandising/marketing reasons. He's phenomenal in the ring, one of the best. I had the pleasure of being at his last show for ICW and everyone went nuts for him. I ended getting him hoyed off me

His team-up with Hideo Itami (sp?) is looking strong.

They don't really need to do a brand split or bring back the WHC. They just need to write consistent programming, restore value the IC Title to a very good #2 belt. The US belt to mean at least something and have a good Tag Division that is put over.

So their solution to making SmackDown! must see television is putting Jerry Lawler on commentary, rather than improving the actual wrestling product? Vince and co. have actually lost it.

Booker t is apparently being told to call the action from a sports and athletic point of view. Rather than the jokey Lawler type.

He actually spoils matches for me by jobbing the heels when he himself should be heel.

I like Booker T as a commentator, the way he come across when a big moment happens "Ohhhhh myyyy goooodnesss" as if he's actually having a stroke over what he just saw

Anyone see Roman Reigns promo on Smackdown? He should be the last straw for any adults watching if he makes it to the top, corny as fuck but works for the kids.

With Lawler missing Raw it may have brought fears about his health back into the fold.
They won't want another near death on live tv so at least if anything happened whilst filming Smackdown it could be edited.

Make Heyman head writer of Smackdown again, and guarenteed Smackdown will be better to watch than Raw.
