Was that the brother of who Ernie Bewick beat to death? Not necessarily hard, but certainly infamous for being a lunatic in the 90's was Scott Waters.
John Smith was another I remember being a tough bloke
Kevin Young round Pennywell way in the 90s was a tough bloke too, had a very short fuse!
NephewCousin I think, down in the Eastender/Cheers?
My wife (no) is from Burleigh Garth and is hard as fuck!We moved from St. Pats to Covent gdns when they were modernised, burleigh was always the worst Garth, they were all rough and loads of hard/ tough lads from the Garths, you had to be pretty tough to live there or you got your head kicked in for being soft.
Johnny Western,the TV.
Butchy Craig
It seems that I'd forgotten more than I remembered about where it happened (South Hetton not Easington) and Landa's company was SCS, not MHG - was mixing up its name with the one my ex sister in law worked for in Leeds.
Landa, though, was not convicted of the murder - that was his brother Michael Luvaglio, along with Dennis Stafford.

Ernie must be the most well known , but to be fair, for every infamous hardman there are plenty equally tough men who are ordinary family blokes and don't have reputations and images to keep

I must confess to not having gone through this with a fine tooth comb but, having scanned it, then it would appear he didn't.
