The water on that pitch
It was like that last Friday, rained overnight, most of Saturday morning then Lancs were out for their t20 pretty quickly. It drains well, groundstaff get a lot of practice. Having said that it's absolutely bucketing down and there's thunder and lightning at the mo.

Still pouring down here but it looks a lot brighter towards Old Trafford

Can anything be done about that area of the field for Sunday/Monday when the rumoured storm comes in?? I can see us being thwarted by the weather on those days

We aren't even that far ahead of the minute though mate!

No chance of a result IMO, don't they will start on time tomorrow

True but we're still in the box seat. Plus if we do lose another big chunk of a day is say we'd be unable to lose the game - timewise.

If they don't start on time tomorrow that'd be criminal - supposed to be dry all day. Perhaps the calm before the storm.

f***ing hell, there is a puddle of water. so f***ing what, change the rules, let them change the ball every 2 overs if its wet, 17,000 people robbed of upwards of £80 a day, players safety my f***ing arse

Sun's beating down at the moment, no doubt they'll start on time.

If England can get a lead of 150/200 by mid afternoon I reckon we could blow them away again and finish it today. They'll need to, forecast looks garbage for the next 2 days.

It was £58 for this match, everyone knows the rules and they probably saw more cricket than they expected to yesterday. But I'd be disappointed if I was there (almost got a ticket the other day)

Yeah was thinking this at work before, depends on the overhead conditions, England could bowl them out cheaply, but don't want to be giving them too much of a lead.

Whatever England need to do today, just do it quickly.

Even it its only a 150 lead.

Bloody Manc weather. We're going to have to get on with things today, pleased we're 6 down TBH. Get Buttler smashing for an hour and then get bowling.

Only the temporary stands, £68 elsewhere and more again for The Point.

The rain stopped at 4.00pm and they couldn't get the teams back on, someone wants a kicking for that.
