Only the temporary stands, £68 elsewhere and more again for The Point.

The rain stopped at 4.00pm and they couldn't get the teams back on, someone wants a kicking for that.
Was it? I was just going off what they were selling them for at work, they usually get discounts but didn't for this. Made up for it by giving free tickets to the Durham t20 and a 50 over game v Leicestershire.

I agree, it's obviously a fault with the design and building of the Point (or whichever stand it was in front of) but once it's happened there's nothing anyone at the ground could do yesterday.

I'm looking at my £68 ticket for A stand today and £58 for the temp stand tomorrow.

It was a poor effort from Old Trafford. They seemed to completely ignore the big puddle in from of C/D stand until about 5.30 and then only treat it for 30 min, then abandon due to surface water !!!!!

Hussein : Joe Root just happy to be playing someone who' s 'not Australia'

I hope he is not thinking like this.

Oh yes, and I'm hoping he's thinking "can't wait to get into the Aussies again"
hes shown it this summer who adaptable he is and to be fair to Athers he said that he looked pretty good against the Aussies last year,

Buttler is really applying himself here.

Scored 180 against the Convicts last summer
Yes, good point. My own point is that I hope we don't spend too long patting ourselves on the back by beating India. The comment by Hussein inferred that we (Root included) were glad not to be facing Australia. I want the players to WANT to face them. To put right what was something closer to total humiliation than a series defeat.

This is why we should be playing Finn and Stokes not soppy vanilla players like Woakes. They 'don't like it up them' eg Tremlett in 2010, Harmison in 2005. Too many conservative 'safe' selections in the current team.

Spot on mate

Good partnership broken there ..... could do with a quick cavalier 50 here and get India back in. Weather forecast is looking very dubious .....
