161 all out. 4 for GO. Well done Durham. Let's see if we can get to close of play without loss.

55-3 at the close. Benks and Stokes not out overnight.

220 would be enough to win the game (weather permitting)

Should be achievable with Stokes, Benkenstein, Blackwell, Mustard and Borthwick remaining

Very interesting days play.

Once people saw their score I think we were all braced for a losing a wicket or two before the close. TBH though there didnt seem to be an awful lot to fear from the wicket.

I notice that there werent many runs scored anywhere today just for some context.

I'd take a 50 to 100 lead right now on 1st innings but I suspect there will be a tumble of wickets early doors tomorrow. This game might be reduced to a one innings match as i dont really see us getting much more than they got.

Same forecast as today for tomorrow i think.

Some of the shots from one or two notts players were suicidal. Not sure what Adams was playing at slashing at every ball.

Well it's down to our middle order to pretty much dictate how the game will go. One or two decent partnerships will give us a lead as would a 50 from one of the batsmen. I think I'd go with the opinion that a lead of over 50 could be decisive. However I've seen it plenty of times where the third innings of the game becomes very easy to bat in. A look at Notts last game would show that.

Ha'way Durham!

Pretty happy with that.

More chance of a 1st innings lead than not, surely

Will do well to get a lead....

I might not get to see any at this rate (going down Sunday)
You'll see some play on Saturday. It looks like the weather is almost bound to stop play at some point tomorrow and although not many runs are being scored I cant see this one ending inside two days.

First session tomorrow may well decide the game one way or the other as Durham will do well to keep it down to say 6 lost by lunch. Notorious graveyard for batsmen first session at the Emirates/Riverside.

I'm undecided whether I'd take 200 all out here and now. What do you all reckon?

Pretty happy with that.

More chance of a 1st innings lead than not, surely
first session will be crucial marra. If Benks and Stokes can hang around for an hour or so and reduce the lead to say 50 then we have a chance of a lead, however the wickets seem to be falling in clumps so i wouldnt be surprised if there was a collapse at some point.

I had a look at the wicket at tea and it looked in lovely condition. I guess all of these early season wickets must have something about them because no one seems to have scored many runs today.

They said on commentary that the pitch is excellent and it's movement through the air that's been causing the batsmen problems. Pray for clear skies tomorrow!

Stokes and Benks tomorrow hopefully can get a decent partnership.

I'd take 250 all out.

I said that at the start of our innings, didnt really want to see us bat last night as I knew it would have been tricky.

Good move to not put a night watchman in.

Good days cricket though!
