I half agree with you like, but many use football as an outlet for stresses in life, I know I do, its all irrelevant really, but everyone needs something to talk about.
Well I just mean, he isn't that in demand, I just get the impression we are haggling too hard, if we paid the money we could get him. How many players have we signed over the years, close to 10 every season, millions wasted, here is a player the manager really wants, we know he can perform well in the league and in big cup matches, and we seem to be struggling to raise the funds for him.
We spent 14 million plus on Giacherrini and Altidore for example! We just seem to have morals with money on certain players and not on others, that's how it feels sometimes.
I think we just choose how much we value a player and only sway so far. I think its about time. We've paid out big money and big wages for average / shit players for a long time and it seems we're trying to get ourselves in shape. I support it but i guess it means things take longer and we don't always get the players we want. Over time though if we waste less it'll fall into place.
