Meant nowt, we all should know not to believe footballers on Twitter and even so they're not gonna go to a club they like over going to a more successful club and earning more money.Yes I think he did. He has recently tweeted pro SAFC messages.
Even if it was £8m - we've recently paid that for Djilibodji....let that sink in
Like Buckley & Bridcutt? At the start of pre-season after his loan spell Fiorentina wanted a few million for him. We did our usual trick of refusing to pay up for proven quality and after a few weeks training they decided they wanted to keep him. We then spent half that amount on PVA who is a about one tenth the left back Alonso is. Realistically we should have bought both of them given Alonso can also play on the left of a back three.
Another great example of our fantastic recruitment at work. Oh, and Poyet was desperate for him to come back...but no, it's all down to the managers apparently.
Then Bain comes out with "We need to sign young players and sell them on"....well, we'd have got about 24m for this one if it hadn't been scuppered by upper management, is that the sort of thing he's suggesting?
This f***ing club. If they let the managers do their job and were willing to spend based on quality not some bizarre idea of value which is clearly broken then we might not be in this mess.
That summer we spent 15m and lost 15 players. We had to buy a whole new side, we had to go for PVA who was half the price in order to fill the holes in the other positions. When the budget is what it is then these are the results you get.

Just shows you how cheap ES is.....I was one that said buy at 8-10M but no to much for Sunderland to pay plus pay the wages Sunderland!!! You will attract better playersBeen superb for Chelsea today- if only we'd spent that 4 million eh?
He's a full back, they get skinned from time to time.He got skinned shitloads
trying to be clever has fucked it up.. Alvarez for example.....At the start of pre-season after his loan spell Fiorentina wanted a few million for him. Thought he was bang average when he was here, my hands are help up!Not good enough according to some wags on here.
You don't really know that though do you ? Agree with most of your post thoughAt the start of pre-season after his loan spell Fiorentina wanted a few million for him. lucky to get 2m for him that haircut alone knocks a million off the price.I'll put money on us getting back nowhere near what we've signed N'Dong for anarl
Too slow they said....Not good enough according to some wags on here.
I m pretty sure he was so far out of favour when he came we could of had him for 600k but we took him on loan as we wouldn't pay the fee. Even if that 600k is utter bollocks 4-5m would still have been a great price. At the start of pre-season after his loan spell Fiorentina wanted a few million for him. They did when we took him on loan.Fiorentina didn't want to sell but don't let that fact stop some people using it as a stick to beat the club.
