He likely as not wouldnt be playing for us now. We would have ruined him and he would be at Leicester now or summit like that.

the kid would make a brilliant civil servant - average talent, does what the boss says, puts the graft in and never complains. You'll go a long way nowadays doing the basics right. The kid will end his career as a multi millionaire and people will wonder how that happened. It will happen because you dont particularly have to have much talent nowadays to get on.
