I'll start.
Lee Cattermole V West Brom, only his second league goal for us
Not long before that he had only just got his first league goal for us which was also a decent goal
(Shite quality videos)
Has to be the most celebrated pre season goal ever that. Going off that video you'd have thought it was an important goal.
That's just the best - leaping like a salmon. Class.
Remember him pitting one of the better midfield performances I've seen at the SoL against big Sams West Ham. Think we won 3-0 of memory serves and Vaughan was everywhere.Decent little midfielder on a free transfer. Not amazing but got too much stick, especially given the other clowns we've had in the middle in recent years
Yes you are right. memory is playing tricks! You're getting it mixed up with Dick Malone's agianst Portsmouth.
Cec only scored once and that was a punt from the half way line which got caught in the wind and sailed over the goalie..
Plenty? 3 at most at the time probablyHow was that a surprise when he had a lethal left peg and scored plenty from distance?

does this count? i don't think he was expecting to score
I feel blessed to have been there to see that
He scored a total of 5 goals in 116 appearances for Blackpool according to Wikipedia. Averaging out to around 1 in 23.Including Blackpool.

Hardly plentiful mind
It is when he's only doing it once every 20-25 games! The point us they were always crackers, so not a surprise when he scores a good goal
His only goal I think against Forest, won 3-1 but I think it was more of a cross that beat the keeper. Their keeper was ex mag Gordon MarshallGot to be Cecil Irwin for those old enough. Never scored before and went on a run from inside our half, went past what seemed half the oppo side and slotted it home. Those with a better memory will say who it was against. Still laugh about it!
