I'd like to keep tabs on the outcome of what led up to this from the bairns being left and the reason they were left.
It's absolutely devastating for the likes of us and we can only imagine what it's like for the close relatives and friends.
As for the parent(s) I'll await the outcome on it before I vent anything in that direction.

If it stops a pile-on vilifying the mother without any knowledge of the facts, it will have served a purpose. It’s a reminder that not all people in this situation necessarily fit the knee-jerk stereotype.
All that said, it doesn’t detract from the horrific situation that we have 4 innocent kids dead.

I’d suspect that this happens more than we’d hope (kids left alone ) single mother working as a carer was desperate for extra cash or covering for staff absent due to Covid on run up to Christmas might be tempted to put kids to bed and head out to do a night shift while they’re asleep. If she’s been out partying then that’s a different matter
Lets not forget the firemen who performed CPR on the poor little kids , they’ll remember that for the rest of their lives.

I think it will be common to lesser degrees, parents putting kids in bed and popping up the street etc
Also how many parents get proper bladdered in the house and go to bed .
