Mannone will be straight back in ......

He did against Southampton, imagine the reaction on here if Mannone had made that mistake.

Still it'd be harsh to drop Pickford now. Only reason to bring him back in is if Moyes wants more experience in the team.
Mannone made about 300 mistakes away at Southampton 2 years ago, and he was still in the side for the following game (where he made several more errors and was then dropped).

Aye, like I said I think it'd be harsh to drop Pickford after one mistake. But I suppose we don't know how well the two organise their defence etc as well as someone who sees them in training every day.

Mannone is canny shit if I'm being honest
I think he's pretty average, but he's an enormous confidence player. He's had good spells in the side, but he has also had some absolutely horrific performances, and 1 mistake from him leads to another. It is the reason he's been here for what, 3 years (?) and he's never started and finished any season as clear 1st choice; he's worked his way in and out of the side a couple of times.

It would of been very similar to the reaction it got with Pickford in.

Young players don't get much of a chance on here from most.

Not for me. Pickford now has to be given the chance to fulfill his potential which everybody at the club has been banging on about for the last 5 years. Unless he's throwing 4 or 5 into the net every week with clangers then he's number 1 for the foreseeable. Mannone is no better anyway.
