Rafael Benítez

I think Leicester have shown anything is possible with the right setup and a bit of luck.

The increased money has levelled the playing field massively and clubs now need to be more ambitious.
I always thought you were a bit above all that delusion demonstrated by your brethren but since relegation you too seem to have lost all sense of perspective.
You're not even in the league at the minute man.

And the mags have shown what not to do with £80,000,000, a Spanish waiter and a bunch of deluded bellends

Just been to the bookies next door and was chatting to Shirley, (She has come out of retirement and works back there now, 2 days a week, (3 days if Stan is on holiday).

Anyway, we were talking about the mags and that and she looked up that Rafa is 16/1 to be the first manager sacked next season, could be worth a few ££, especially if they lose their first few matches.

Anyone fancy a flutter?

can rafa make the 55 thoosand screaming, blood thirsty passionate geordies fall in love with their clerb again? it is their clerb

Don't really understand this line about Benitez struggling because he's not managed in the Championship before. He sets his side up to be difficult to break down, to be compact and patient. It's not like he's Arsene Wenger, trying to play neat little passing triangles, apt to be bullied off the ball by big scary centre halves from Leeds.

The sort of manager who might keep a team up?

I agree with you there. He's closer to Karanka in style (and experience of the league) and that appointment worked out fine. So it doesn't mean he will fail, equally, there's no guarantees he'll succeed either.

Wad yer buck Shirley there mate?

I'm pretty sure I mentioned that earlier.

My overriding point was the whole 'top 10 is the best we can expect' mentality. It seems you have just taken what you wanted from that post and used it to construct what you have replied with.

Expectation/delusion levels are different in Boro. Rafa is expected to walk the league, anything else and he'll be hounded out. No way will he get nearly three years to take them up.

It's the culmination from a load of your recent posts to be honest.

Must be Liverpool then, he did nearly as well there iirc.

Why say it's in Northumberland Street then? It seems a bit odd to just blatantly lie like that to get some 'point' across, but maybe that's just me.

Like I said, comprehension and context don't seem to be your strongest suit as you are showing by the earlier post.

Is that how Wenger would set out a side in the championship then? You don't think he would realise that an adjustment of tactics would be needed for a championship side? Benitez may not struggle at all, but he will need to adjust things compared to playing against the likes of Arsenal and their neat interchanging triangles - it is completely unknown how he will cope as it is something he hasn't had to do before.

It was a joke, I thought that much would be clear.

Aye an no whoosh before you start.
