Poyet was never a 'top bloke' like

I loved him me

Thought at last someone in charge whose got the same passion as me

maybe went the wrang way bout slagging the players off in public that should be kept in house

But loved his passion for the club

Only other bloke I felt had the same passion was keane
THIS all owa for me. PDC was let down by club in my opinion..... yes maybee he went about things wrong... but he knew what had to be done. Shame club never backed him when the players kicked off..... most of them realized they could do whatever they wanted that day unfortuently

100% right hank.

And i still dont blame him or think hes a shit manager, I still think it would have worked if the players worked with and for him but unfortunately in todays day and age in football the players have the power and wouldnt buy into his ideas.

(tin hat on)

I think it was a bit of a culture shock after the MON era (not that I am suggesting that it acceptable).

I recall after the the last match of the season he gave a (rather long) press conference and a Times journalist wrote that no-one in the room could disagree with anything he had said, but he would gone by Xmas as the players would not accept his new "regime".
