Correct. Also add Phil Dowd to that list or is it just a fact the fat little bastard hates us and we always get shafted by him.

Against Arsenal everytime we made a tackle it was a free kick. Kevin is definitely not our friend.

Have you watched all of Friend's games the past 5 years. He could have made many more we don't know about. The point is he has consistently made huge errors in games refereeing us.

This raises questions as to whether he has a vendetta against us or some reason for him to favour the other team when we play

Unless you can come up with a reason why he might have a vendetta against us or favour other teams we play I will listen to what you say otherwise unfounded comment.

I have not watched all his games but whoever has,has decided he is good enough to ref in one of the best leagues in the world,so must be getting his fair share correct or would not even be here.

By the way Mensah and Brown are the only huge errors I can see.

What sport did you play?

That's where it stops.
As i said, i prefer to keep a low profile. There's nothing sinister about that.

I know who Piston is, and to be fair you'd all be genuinely surprised

I doubt you do but there's nothing to get excited about.
Let's get back to the thread. I just threw in a few things for people to ponder over. You're welcome to say it's bollocks if you want. I won't be offended.

Certain players may be very wary about making certain challenges, particularly around the box. Kevin Friend has a long history of getting them "wrong" in our games. Why give him another opportunity?
If the choice is an opposition shot from 16 yards or a Kevin Friend decision many professionals would opt for the opposition shot. It's the least risk.

Let me give an example from my time where a referee can stop a team from playing evenly. Everyone accepts that holding goes on (blah blah blah, yes i know, but that's a different debate). In my time it was even more rife than PL corners.
If a player or team suspect a score will be settled then "holding" is the referees get out of jail card. Therefore certain players had to play a whole f**king game with their arms up and clear of the action whereas at the other end there's f**king carnage. They couldn't take the risk because it would give the referee an opportunity. This part of the game is one where the referee can never be wrong but he can steer the course of a result.

So on Saturday JT and Cahill will be all over Fletcher yet our defenders wont be allowed near Costa. Catts will be booked for his first foul but it will take 3/4 from Matic or Ramires.

I go to every home game and see it happen in some games that it's a lot of little decisions like fouls in the middle of the pitch not spotted or given to the other team and aerial challenges given the wrong way. These small incidents when wrong can disrupt the flow of the game especially if you are chasing it/going for a winner.

Swansea is an example. Wickham was dragged down by Williams 3 or 4 times before he was booked. I understand what you mean.

I appreciate that. I was curious. And somewhat annoyed you haven't asked me about my career.

Well you're welcome to tell me if you want.:)
Ive done many things including the armed forces, weapons, sport, security and a host of other shite i can barely remember!!:)

You've obviously a regular who's been watching closely!!:)

I would say the biggest thing i noticed about professional sport is everyone on the pitch is cheating. Some maybe more than others but every player out there is digressing to some degree. Most of it is accepted to be in the grey area and some in the out and out cheating. The best professionals enter the gray area without getting caught more than novices.

Because of the accepted amount of cheating it's almost impossible to compete if you don't. That's where a biased or plain incompetent referee can make a difference to the outcome. The referee can make "correct" decisions but if he doesn't apply the same rules across the pitch he affects the result.
As a player you only get split seconds to make a decision. Bad referees can f**k with your mindset.

I'd rather not.

That's ok. Most prefer internet anonymity. I understand.
