Empty seats at Man City

Viagogo has tickets for the home game against CSKA Moscow at £37. Don't know how much they are to season ticket holders but I couldn't afford a season ticket, cup games and champions league at those prices.

I would go year after year for games like Sunderland v Roma.

Mind, I would haul myself to countless pre season games like the Udinese match, love seeing European teams from the top leagues.

However - Sunderland v BATE or Malmo ... I'd go no doubt, but in the same way I go for a league cup game against MK Dons. Can see why plenty would give those a miss, especially if it was £30 or so.

Dunno like. Familiar players - Totti, Cole, Pjanic, Maicon, Gervinho - plus a hat full who are out injured. Re-emerging team and one of Italy's 2 best teams. 6 wins out of 6 so far this season and very impressive in this comp last time out. Also, it's got a feeling even at this stage of lose this and you're out (from City's perspective). Italian capital, massive city. European pedigree. It's one of the biggest ties they could have had at this stage.

Definitely is.
Are you a Roma fan marra? Or just enjoy the league?

Why do they do this, is it for safety reason or advertising ?

Ive no idea but don't think its advertising as they just have them as an empty space. If I was to hazard a guess it'll be to do with safety. In the likes of Turkey then tend to not want the fans too close to the pitch, so apply the rules across the board.

f***ing hell, we are starting to sound like the Mags here! City fans are no more affluent than Sunderland fans and will have to pick and choose accordingly.

Are Man Utd fans all minted?

I haven't had a pop at city fans by the way, just wondering why we think its all down to cost (hence my man utd point).

City dont have thousands of tag on glory hunters like the above...
Still must be 43/44k there tonight...

A part of that is true, but the main reason (despite the myth) is Manchester is more red than it is blue, fact.

delete this thread please we don't even sell out for a semi final against man u

anything to do with FFP?
aye they could easily buy all the tickets from themselves for daft money, declare the extra income then give the tickets away. piece of piss this ffp

Utd can pull support in from every corner of the globe, let alone the UK, so there are always plenty of football tourists wanting to go to O T, City will never have the same appeal. Cost is less of an issue at Utd as demand is still much greater than supply
