Zak Johnson

It's a strange one but if I remember rightly with him playing for us and Hartlepool last season, Ireland was the only place he could go to as it was classed as a new season.

I'd reckon hes played for Dundalk and us this season. So can't go out on loan.

I could be wrong though
He left Dundalk before our season started though

Yeah I wasn't too concerned about Johnson last night, the full backline was pretty poor overall but I can't remember him being poor particularly, just wasn't very good either.

Same with Triantis. Hjelde and Anderson had an absolute mare and it must be hard defending when two of the back four are hell bent on being a disaster.

I wouldn't write him off at his age and experience.
Anderson and 23 is starting to push into the point where he just isn't going to make it at this level. Guess Hjelde is very young as well but again, unless he improves vastly its hard to see him making it.

It's a tricky one. As either way he's played for 3 teams in one season. Either last or this one if he goes out on loan
Can be registered with 3 clubs and play for 3 clubs when overlapping seasons. I’m sure he’ll have been recalled at the right time to permit a loan in England this season.
Converted to a centre back in recent years. Will come on leaps and bounds as he learns the position, best done against seasoned pros in league 1 or 2.
Rather than the comments about being ‘crap and not making it’ etc I reckon the lad will have an outstanding career. Just gone 19 and seems to have made a very favourable impression on the new manager

Lads crap and will never make it.

Might be brutal but its the truth. Will do well if he has a successful career in league 2
Writing off a local lad that was playing out of position in a team thrown together. Represented England in the same team as Jobe and Kobbie Mainoo but Poolie reckons he’s crap after watching one game. Give the lad a chance, multiple player of the month awards at Dundalk as an 18 year old in a hard league. Clueless

Id be very suprised if he makes it as a regular Championship defender.
Watched him plenty at youth level aswell. His physical stature made him stand out alot at youth football now in mens football he doesn’t have that advantage

Needs regular football at League 1 or league 2 level to see if he is going to develop into a Sunderland player. He did OK last night, but lost the ball a few times and got bullied occasionally.
The kid is only 18 mind and will be better from playing men's football, which he won't get at Sunderland this year unless we have an excess of injuries.
Would like to see him out now with a recall in January if needed, as he is better than our reserves IMO.
