Zak Johnson

I think this lad will be a useful addition to the first team group. He’s certainly got the physicality for centre-back and by the sounds of it (albeit at a lower level) he can play.
An assessment of his passing ability from someone who’s seen him play for the young uns would be handy.

I saw him play for England u19s last summer and his passing was excellent
. He looked like a steady, mature player.
 
Whenever I’ve seen him play for the 21s he looked very comfortable. Have a Hartlepool season ticket holder mate that didn’t rate him but said he was thrown in when everybody was struggling so not really a fair reflection.

A loan to league 1/top of league 2 should do him the world of good

He's better than Anderson in my opinion having watched them both play for u21s multiple times.

From what little we saw of him last year I'd also prefer him to be played ahead of hjelde. I really rate Johnson highly.

Without a run of games and a bit of experience I'm not saying he's better than seelt

Impossible to tell whether he's better than hjelde

I'm not saying he won't be better but I doubt someone who looked average for Hartlepool is currently better, you mustn't think we are getting promoted soon
