There's some decidedly dodgy adverts on YouTube lately. The best one today so far is some Southern lad claiming to have "over £100m in property" and if you want to be just like him, then sign up for his webinars!

No, do I fuck, I use an AdBlocker.
The serious answer is are you using a mobile device (phone, iPad, etc) or a laptop/computer?

For that to do yes. But if your using your phone there are customised YouTube apps that do that kind of thing, if your on a computer then Adblock plus stops them.

I use ublock origin on firefox and haven't had warning yet for using ad blocker
i also use ublock on the free footy streaming site's , to get rid the adverts they plaster allover stream that makes them unwatchable

yeah that seems more impactful if you're watching videos bout people advertising stuff, which i don't.
if people used it less or migrated away from it would they reduce it? hard to say as often companies don't dial back when they overstep, they double down and someone else comes along to replace them

Revanced, if you're on android. It will even skip the self promotion and ad reads.
