Yeah just unsubscribed.Durham relegated but club seem more arsed about sending out 15 emails a day about the internationals next summer.
Lot of people moaning about the set up at Durham.Continally letting down their supporters because they will continally show their loyalty. Was this on field performance a message from players?Would recommend supporters to transfer their loyalty to local clubs as it is much more rewarding.l did it years ago and have never regretted it for the cricket experience. They've had a lot of justified criticism.
The T20 is a shadow of what it was compared to when I started going in about 2016. Year on year the crowds got smaller and smaller. It’s meant to be a “family” game but most of the time kids are playing on their parents phones or running around the stands.mean who cared where we finished in the T20 or the one day cup
You can't get a clearer message about the contempt and disregard this club has for its members i.e. Durham Defenders by the timing of that e-mail. Immediately after relegation, appeals for more of our money with no mention or hint of apology for recent abject playing performances. This is clearly a massive and deliberate p!sstake out of our members.Durham relegated but club seem more arsed about sending out 15 emails a day about the internationals next summer.
I'll be honest I've renewed my membership as ultimately it will save me money. However over the years I've pretty much dedicated 90% easily of my annual leave towards the games. That will change next year as I want to start and other things and maybe travel a little more. A few long time members I've spoken to have said they aren't renewing (remains to be seen if they do or not). I've enjoyed watching the local cricket and definitely hope to keep doing more, Castle Eden for example is my local club and it's a lovely setting I really need to get over to watch more.Lot of people moaning about the set up at Durham.Continally letting down their supporters because they will continally show their loyalty. Was this on field performance a message from players?Would recommend supporters to transfer their loyalty to local clubs as it is much more rewarding.l did it years ago and have never regretted it for the cricket experience.
Yup it only takes a matter of minutes to upload an article onto the club website/social media. Absolutely no excuse we haven't had any word from anyone other than Campbell which was a brief hidden away YouTube video. You can't get a clearer message about the contempt and disregard this club has for its members i.e. Durham Defenders by the timing of that e-mail. The entire club stinks. Even the media teams go silent during matches. It’s not like this result was particularly shocking either, they could’ve had a statement pre drafted but no. They’re continuing the theme from the matches and constantly advertising more ways the club wants our moneyI'll be honest I've renewed my membership as ultimately it will save me money. It was very noticeable yesterday the club stopped tweeting from lunch until the end of the game, clearly embarrassed as I told them on Twitter. That just stinks of incompetence and lack of respect/thought for the fans/members. As you've said no statement/apology just nothing at all. Communication has never been great, but again we're back at it being very very poor and in 2025 with technology as it is, there is no excuses at all.The entire club stinks. Agree - and yet there were still some of the Happy Clapper Brigade defending them. They've had a lot of justified criticism.
Tbf - Marcel Marseau and Harpo Marx (minus horn) were louder than the captain.People are rightfully complaining about the state of the team in the county games but the same warning signs were all over the T20 campaign. Bizarre batting orders, an inability to bowl tight overs when it’s needed, silly shot decisions and an overall lack of urgency and communication. The bloody tannoys were louder than the “captain”
4 posts all day on FB....1 at start of play, 1 when we went out to bat, 1 at lunch and 1 at the death ( how apt ) . Nothing about the carnage going on inbetween.Durham relegated but club seem more arsed about sending out 15 emails a day about the internationals next summer.

Who the heck is this moron?
We saw it coming, Yorkshire clearly did too and boy it was humiliatingYesterday actually happened. We all knew it was coming though, there was a lot of jokes on here that even if Hants lost we would lose and look what’s happened. We are so predictable and relegation is completely deserved. Someone at the club needs to speak cause there cannot be silence for 6 months about what has just happened

No post match interviews either offering explanation or apology
I saw the same. Trying to block a full day is a bit Geoff Boycott, like. One thing I picked up on. Campbell said we are best playing our normal batting game trying to score runs quickly.... So whose idea was it to bat at less than 1 an over yesterday?
Happily tweeted Ben Raine reach his 100, so why not tweet that we were bottling it? Also tweeted about batting points, but silent on wickets on what was a huge day for us. Should work both ways really. Further proof the media just isn't fit for purpose and another area that has needed huge improvement for yearsDurham never tweet wickets when they are batting, check previous games, not just yesterday
What a sad, obsessed moron. He was on twitter complaining because that mag Downie had actually posted something complimentary about us yesterday after the Forest game.Has he had a look at the Premier league table recently ?

Aye,but Geoff Boycott was bloody good at blocking all dayI saw the same. Trying to block a full day is a bit Geoff Boycott, like.
AgreedIf Durham revert to going with young local players I’m fine with Division 2. Got my fears that won’t happen though.
Rather be bottom of Division 2 ran by Bostock, than ran by murderers with a franchise. You must be logged on to see media items
