Yorkshire v Durham : CC September 24

Lyth showed his class at the end, and commiserated with the Durham last two when the wicket went down. Class act!!

He didn’t, first thing he did was go into the crowd scene.

He was the first to shake hands, granted, but let’s not pretend it was some Freddy Flintoff to Brett Lee style moment.

Yesterday actually happened. We all knew it was coming though, there was a lot of jokes on here that even if Hants lost we would lose and look what’s happened. We are so predictable and relegation is completely deserved. Someone at the club needs to speak cause there cannot be silence for 6 months about what has just happened

prepare to experience just that, nobody at the club seems to care

The club aren't going to come out and apologise. Just say nothing and wait for the sports news agenda to move on. As it started to do in Nottingham yesterday evening.

After the gift from Hamps, I cannot believe how it ended up. Commentator on BBC radio said he saw it coming at start of our innings! Something about today doesn't sit right with me. It was so bad it makes me question if the players wanted it. Shot selections so bad, they seemed to 'give' their wickets away. Probably overthinking things after listening to a podcast on throwing footy games. I think Esh Winning would have beaten Durham today. Gutted.
Probably could if Graham Hurst,Dom Williamson,Karl Turner and Jack Burnham were playing for Esh Winning

If anyone from the club is reading any of this (I very much doubt it) the big take away is just look how much everyone cares. I mean who cared where we finished in the T20 or the one day cup? I don't even know! But there's something different about 1st class cricket, and that lot want to break it.

For me it's about red ball cricket, and it's about Durham, and it's about a local team developing and fielding local players and there's not been enough of that in my view. So I worry about the academy, is it doing all that it can and does it need a revamp.

I haven't been able to get to see any cricket live for various reasons, but with luck I'm getting a season ticket for next year.

Come on Durham, you can fix this!
