Yann M'vila - target or not?

People rewriting history if they don't rate him. Only problem with that team with him, Kirchhoff and Catts in the midfield was the lack of balance, all three were too deep.

Catts couldn't run by this point and was only playing by the grace of Rodwell doing Rodwell things. Jan wasn't deep if memory serves, he was all over the shop and Yanns purpose was to sit and screen.

Its interesting that people bring up players that have retired as a joke that we should bring them back in reference to Yann, perhaps they believe our level to have constantly outshone his since his departure? Which would be a bit weird.

He was superb for us and it was a massive mistake not signing him in the summer that Allardyce left.

That said there’s absolutely nothing in the way the club is being run now that suggests we’d be interested in a bloke who will be 33 year old when next season starts and will no doubt be on far more money than anyone else in the squad.

I love reminiscing about the quality of former players but we seem to have a bizarre fascination with trying to turn back the hands of time.

In recent weeks there’s been threads about resigning Manone, Jonny Evans, M’Villa, Borini, obviously the catastrophic signing of Defoe, ……enough is enough surely.

Has he even played competitive football recently? (not looked on wiki, could have been playing for Real Madrid for all I'd know)

Might have happened had the club stopped messing about with 9 centre backs and 5 cams, can't see it now mind.
