There are some examples of returning players doing well, eg Evans. And going back a bit further, Paul Bracewell and Pop Robson.
I know quite often it doesn’t work, but I think this one would.

I'd take him back like but we might be a bit overcrowded in CM already with Neil, Evans, Ekwah and Bellingham.

Sure I seen recently that useless pleb has been relegated in every season bar the one which was ended by covid since leaving us too

Possibly. Bungs does sound more like another of our recent managers though.

Signing good players like M’Vila was a model that kept us in the top flight for a decade.

We’ve had a model of signing cheap and inexperienced in the past as well. That got us 15 points in the top flight once

Fat Sam had already lined Ndong up. Moyes signed off on it though.
