Wrestling - Part 3

The finish might have been a bit more acceptable had they not had Gunther tap out to Jay bloody Uso at Wrestlemania, and lose to a geriatric Punk at Summerslam.

The whole Cena retirement year has been booked poorly, the heel turn could have been spectacular had it made any sense. As soon as The Rock naffed off there was absolutely no storyline for it. Travis Scott as well FFS.
 

Just watched a Stevie Richards clip where he says in response to a question of wrestlers being secretive of their matches, "but it doesn't matter now because they'll be on a programme on TV where they tell everyone how they did it anyway, so why bother". Yup.

That was one the reasons why WCW went down was the obsession with breaking the 4th wall. Like Stevie said why bother watching if the people involved cant be arsed to keep up the pretence. I didnt realise until a comment on the wrestling bios Goldberg vs Bret fued over Starrcade 99 "why would someone in a kayfabe promo apologise for hurting someone, when supposed to be a fight" that why would fans care if the company doesn’t 😄

One of the reasons, yeah. The genius of Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara on full display there. They also had Bagwell walk out of a match saying into camera "I don't have to lose because I didn't have to do what those in the back writing this crap tell me". Idiots.

Watched his new Video on that yesterday and yeah, talking about how he potatoed him. Makes no sense to say that. You can't do that!

I guess Brett wasn't clear headed, as thats a terrible thing to say in they middle of a ring.
 
Has anything happened in the last month? I think theory was revealed. I like to keep in touch with the headlines but nothing seems to have happened in ages...

I honestly don't watch it anymore but I saw a Instagram post of highlights of SD. Priest and Black are STILL having pointless matches together 😂. It's been six months apparently. That's pathetic like.

Yeah I haven't watched properly for about 3 months now but Smackdown in particular seems a car crash and often has me wondering if I have dreamt things. Black/Priest, Cody/Drew, Nia/Tiffy, Chelsea/Gulia have been going on since a couple of days before the Titanic hit that iceberg. I am pretty sure Roxanne Perez and Lyra Valkyria have been wrestling the same match since mid February on Raw too.

Flair, absolutely blitzed off his crane doing a Cameo for someone's wedding telling them they shouldn't get married and rambling on and on. Apparently the customer paid him a grand for this. Christ.
