Wrestling - Part 3

Thanks all for your kind words about my Dad, my Dad was a bit of a wrestling fan, as was my Mam who sadly passed away a year and a half ago. Dad was more into the Brirish wrestling such as Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks and Kendo Nagasaki. Mam was into the like of Shawn Michael's and Chris Jericho because, as how she would say, they had lovely hair 😂.

Razor though he was my fave, I always remember watching the WWF on Sky 1 back in the 90s after school and it was a thing we all enjoyed together when it was on. Just this tall, slick looking guy who was cool as owt decked in purple throwing toothpicks at people to wind them up.

Did anyone remember the Oozing Machismo VHS tape?

As I said in an earlier post I had the pleasure of seeing him in December of 1993. I pulled this from thehistoryofwwe.com.

WWF @ Newcastle, England - Whitley Bay Ice Rink - December 3, 1993

Adam Bomb def Virgil

The Smoking Gunns def Red & Black Knight (Steve Lombardi & Barry Horowitz)

Tatanka def Diesel

The 1-2-3 Kid def Rick Martel

WWF IC Champion Razor Ramon def IRS

Randy Savage def Shawn Michaels

The Undertaker def WWF World Champion Yokozuna via disqualification.
—————————————————————————————

Sad to think 5 WWF Superstars have gone. Randy, Yokozuna and now Razor. The other two were Mr Fuji and Paul Bearer.

But I did get the pleasure of seeing something form without me knowing it that Scott wold be known for. The Clique. Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Shaun Waltman all competed on the card. Triple H would soon arrive in 1994.

I’m so glad I have this memory of these great WWF Superstars.

WTF have they done to NXT, remember Gargano V Ciampa one of the best feuds WWE has done in the last 20 years or how about Gargano V Cole in a classic 2 out 3 falls match or Sasha Banks V Bayley at NXT Brooklyn but they weren’t good enough apparently so now you get this 😂, dear god, I hope the 60+ year olds enjoy it as that’s your main audience now.

I should’ve known you’d get the hot scoop on this 😂 they must make some serious coin on it mind.
I don't know what you mean 🤔 😉

Tbf I can see her logic.. no innuendo intended. She could make a good living off pics and videos over risking her body in the gruelling WWE Schedule.

Wonder if Big E would do the same?

I was at the April 19th 1993 show at the Whitley Bay Ice Rink. It was my first house show. Bret Hart Vs Bam Bam Bigelow was the main event. Same finish as KOTR final.

I keep watching videos of Scott on YouTube. Still can't quite believe he has gone. Hits hard this one, especially as I have met him and found him such a pleasure.

Apparently Scott Hall was back drinking for the last couple of years. Even passed out at the bar before the Hall of Fame last year. Poor guy broke his hip and was just laying on his floor for days unable to get to the phone.

Dax and Punk putting on a wrestling clinic 😂
.
Sting must be gutted about that ending apart from that the tornado tag match was great, Darby trying to kill himself again, sting doing crazy dives and Jeff doing that Swanton.

Well that's me even more depressed. I did see money inc Vs Steiners but wasn't there for this and missed Savage and Razor. Bollocks.

I did get to see Virgil do a rest hold for about ten minutes and bore everyone to tears, though.

MJF saying he’s going to nail Wardlow to the cross like Jesus was absolutely quality 😂, good show tonight a hot crowd always helps.
Mind the Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti stuff is cringey as hell, I’m looking forward to Dan Lambert verbally destroying them each week 😂
